The Bicentennial Edition of The Works of John Wesley
The Bicentennial Edition of The Works of John Wesley is the only scholarly edition of Wesley's Works done in more than a century. It is the work of the best Wesley Scholars in the world today, maybe any time. We really need this in Logos. Please consider making this available. Abingdon is the publisher.

I agree. This would be great to have. Please consider, FL!

I agree and have sent some emails on this resource.
Has anyone ever got a response either from Abingdon or from Logos on a conversation about making this happen?

The absence of Abingdon's Works in Logos is the gap in my sermon and studies workflow.
After checking in for progress over the past few years, I'd really like some hope that we might get a volume or two over the next few years!

The addition of The Bicentennial Edition of the Works of John Wesley would certainly move me to upgrade my Logos package!

Agreed. I own most volumes physically and would preorder them in a heartbeat in Logos form. I am a United Methodist and have bought Anglican packages because I find the books more appealing than the Methodist bundles.

Hi there, I wonder if we could ever get someone from Faithlife or Logos to give us a comment or feedback on this request? This has to be the single most important unavailable item to clergy and laypeople in the Wesleyan tradition.
I would like to know if Faithlife has ever been in discussion with Abingdon? Did arrangements never make it off the ground? Is Faithlife not incentivized to acquire the Abingdon editions because they are able to sell versions of the old Jackson works at almost no expense? Is there just not enough demand on this platform?
The tagging that was used for the Jackson material is almost directly applicable to the Bicentennial editions, so it would be a lower cost proposition to get the tags in most volumes.

I put in a request to https://feedback.faithlife.com/boards/logos-book-requests/posts/bicentennial-edition-of-wesley-s-works so we can vote for it. Faithlife now uses votes on this site to gauge customer interest.

Abingdon seems to be a difficult publisher to work with when it comes to Logos Research editions. They only allowed NIB and NIBD to be sold as Logos editions, all other works from this publisher will be found as eBooks.

I think there have been several requests put in to vote for the Bicentennial Works and I've voted for all of them!
Also, I agree that Abingdon doesn't see to have a big plan for digital editions, as the works aren't available on Kindle either. I'd just love to hear from someone on Faithlife to hear if they've ever got the conversation going.

Searching either on "Wesley" or on "Bicentennial", I only find one book request on the feedback.faithlife site. Also the duplicate test didn't come up with something yesterday. Can you share a link? Faithlife employees are able to combine the requests.

This is the biggest one: https://suggestbooks.uservoice.com/forums/308269-book-suggestions/suggestions/30977941-the-bicentennial-edtion-of-wesley-s-works-only-t
My mistake, I thought there had been another one that I created a while back, but I didn't realize there was a different site for suggestions now. Hopefully this will gain some traction with Logos users and encourage the team to reach out to Abingdon.

I am still asking, praying, and hoping this scholarly edition of Wesley's Works will be added to Logos Bible Software. I do wish Faith Life could give us some updates on any possible progress.
Is it just a matter of not enough Wesleyan pastors and people use Faithlife to make it worthwhile to sell it? I really think this would motivate many Wesleyans to use Logos Bible Software. Such an edition of Wesley's Works is not available from any of the competition. I think adding this to the Logos catalog would make it instantly the Bible software of choice for seminaries such as Asbury Theological and perhaps even the official UM seminaries.

This suggests that there may be an issue at the rightsholders' end of things.
At any rate, a new feedback.faithlife.com suggestion to replace the UserVoice one presumably wouldn't hurt.

Sorry, I thought the recent mention of the UV request meant that there was not feedback.faithlife.com suggestion and I had forgotten about yours, which I'd seen when I read this thread before.

I have reached out to Abingdon and got nothing. I'd also appreciate hearing from Faithlife if they ever have put an email or call into Abingdon, even if they also hit a wall or licensing dispute.

There is no question about the rights. They belong to Abingdon Press. Abingdon publishes for the United Methodist Church. But I suspect you are correct in that Abingdon must be hard to deal with. However, Logos cut a deal with Abingdon for "The New Interpreters Bible Commentary." That gave me hope that we might see the Bicentennial Works of Wesley soon, but it did not happen.
I wish Logos would make a new effort to get the rights to this. This might be a great time to make a deal with Abingdon, as the United Methodist Church is somewhat struggling financially due to the ongoing schism. They are cutting budgets, etc. Perhaps they may be more interested in an offer.
Part of the Bicentennial Works of Wesley - the Journals of Wesley, the sermons, and a few other volumes are available for use online for a price through the UMC's Ministry Matters site. I have use of these, but that is not nearly as great as having it in one's Logos Library. And more than half the volumes are not available electronically anywhere.
Of course, I have a paper copy of these volumes as well. I do not believe Abingdon would lose sales by publishing it in Logos. Most Wesleyan Scholars would want both electronic and paper copies of this. I would think this would be a win / win for both Abingdon and Logos.
I guess some things make too much sense to happen.

I have this CD-Rom edition of the Bicentennial Edition of the Works of John Wesley that Tom mentioned; however, there are problems with this Cd-Rom. For one thing it was published in 2005, which was 17 years ago. There are many volumes of the Bicentennial edition of Wesley's Works since them. It does contain Wesley's Sermons and Wesley's Journal and Diaries, with wonderful notes by the greatest Wesley Scholars of our time. (Albert Outler was the primary scholar on the Sermons.) Volumes continue to be published several times a year, but just what is on this old CD would be of tremendous value. Think how valuable it would be if Logos could publish it and add the volumes since 2005!
But there is a much bigger problem with the CD-Rom edition of the Bicentennial Edition of the Works of John Wesley. It is not easily compaitlble with current versions of Windows software - having been published in 2005.
I have found a workaround that makes it work on my computer. I made an iso file from the cd. I then copied the iso file to my C hard drive. I mounted that iso through the file manager program and installed it on my computer. But I kept the iso file of the cd. If i mount that iso file, my compute considers it a cd. From that I am able to make the program run. There is a little more to it, but that is basically the work around on the cd. I would not recommend it for anyone who is not experienced with computers.
That is a bit of trouble, but worth it to me. You can see why I am anxious for Logos to publish this. It would greatly simplify my life. I lead a group of clergy and laity in a study of Wesley's Journal twice a month. We have been meeting for over two years now. I really need this in Logos.
