Windows 7
I am disappointed that Logos 9 is not compatible with Windows 7 a large number of computers still run windows 7. My laptop is old but with an SSD and only running Logos and a few other programs, it's more than capable of running Logos 9 but doesn't have enough hardware to handle Windows 10.

Hi Andrew - and welcome to the forums.
Sorry to hear this is causing you problems
Bradley outlined some of the reasons for it - and suggested a possible way forward - at https://community.logos.com/forums/p/186750/1123368.aspx#1123368
If that doesn't work, you could look at using the web app - app.logos.com - that doesn't provide full desktop equivalent capability but would provide access to your library and some capabilities

Hi Graham, its not causing me problems its just I wasn't up with the fact that V9 is not meant for windows 7, was fine with version 8. I have a more modern desktop computer with 2 screens which is great its just if I go away I like to take the laptop. Funny enough it still seems to work just doesn't have all the bells and whistles. In the about Logos Bible software tech support info says 8.17 SR3, 8.17.0.0022(32 Bit) also Features version 9Many. and Base package library Logos 9 library. It seems to have uploaded the new library though.
regards Andrew

Windows 7 and 10 have almost identical system requirements. I’ve upgraded laptops from 2010 to Windows 10 successfully. They are stable and can run L8. Is there a specific incompatibility you’ve run into that prevents a Windows 10 upgrade?

I should also mention that the upgrade to 10 is still available from MS, and I’d strongly recommend it as Win 7 is less safe to use now.
What I did last week on a 10 year old laptop was to do a test install on a partition to confirm compatibility before replacing the main Win 7 install with Win 10. Have you tried that?

Welcome [:D]
On 12 June 2019, Faithlife posted => ANNOUNCEMENT: End of support for Windows 7, Windows 8.1 & MacOS 10.11–10.13 that was added to Logos Wiki => Logos Release History and also appears in Logos Help Center (LHC) => Logos Minimum System Requirements

Reply by Faithlife on 5 Jan 2021 included: (Logos 8.11 was the last release tested by Faithlife using Windows 7)
Let me first be clear: Windows 7 is unsupported by Microsoft. Windows 7 is unsupported by Faithlife. Logos 8.11 is unsupported by Faithlife. Logos 8.11 can't read the latest Logos resources.
Microsoft has removed many Windows 7 downloads (so do not know if a new install OR reinstall on Windows 7 using TLS 1.2 is even possible)
Keep Smiling [:)]
