Hi Scott
Would be very interested in your Logos manual. Will you be posting the docx to this forum anytime soon.
Have a nice day.

FREE Logos Manual for Download - Import as a Book into Logos
WHY A MANUAL WHEN LOGOS HAS HELP FILES, VIDEOS, FORUMS, ETC?
I've created a Logos training manual that imports very nicely into Logos with the Personal Books Tool.
I give it to friends, family, colleagues -- but primarily I use it to train Christian business owners / leaders in South America to enhance their ministry to family, neighbors, employees, and clients. God has blessed me, through Logos, to apologetically minister and evangelize; this manual has been a big part of that for me.
I have a two-fold purpose in posting the manual here:
1) To bless anyone who might benefit from it
2) To get any feedback that folks might provide to continually update / improve the manual
DYNAMIC DOCUMENT
For the most part, this manual is designed for beginners; but I plan on making regular updates to it and eventually adding more advanced topics. This is a dynamic and evolving document and I expect major changes in the future.
UPDATED VERSIONS
The download links below will always contain the most recent version of the manuals. When I release a new version, I'll post to this thread -- so be sure to subscribe if you are interested in being notified of updates. I will not put the version history on this post; instead the update / version history will be kept in the manual itself.
I'm very interested in enhancing, innovating, and debugging the content in the manual. All of your suggestions, critical feedback, and ideas are warmly welcomed
HELP
I can't seem to get Bullets or Cross References to translate from Microsoft Word to Logos Personal Books -- if anyone has any ideas please post that here.
HOW TO USE THE MANUAL
There are instructions at the very beginning of the manual -- explaining how to import it into Logos, and giving suggestions for navigation in Word or a PDF viewer / editor.
Version for Uploading to Logos as a Personal Book (without Table of Contents)
NOTE: The Logos Personal Books Tool will auto populate a Table of Contents upon import.

- GUIDES & TOOLS section moved above SEARCH & FIND section
- Added LIST OF GUIDES, TOOLS, & WORKFLOWS Section
- Many minor edits & adjustments including fixing RED IN FILE CROSS REFERENCE HYPERLINKS
- CROSS REFERENCES – Rebuilt all cross-references (internal hyperlink) so cross-references now work in the Logos Version of the Manual
- HEADING COLORS – Changed all Headings from BLUE to BURGANDY to differentiate from the HYPERLINKS (which Logos auto converts to blue upon Personal Book import).
- TITLE PAGE LOGO – Changed Logo from “LOGOS 8” to “LOGOS”
Hi Gerald and Gaolu.
Indeed, after hearing feedback from some forum members, I decided to remove the file download links -- until I checked in with leadership to make sure this would be appropriate.
I sent an email to the general forum contact email yesterday, as soon as I hear back I'll post here.
Sorry... I sometimes have a tendency to put the cart in front of the horse.
Grace & Peace,
Scott
Here are the links! I received such a supportive email from Logos, that I thought I'd share it:
"Thank you for your email. We are happy to help you with your question. I ran this by Phil and he said that you are more than welcome to share the links. We appreciate you doing this work and sharing it with others to use. You can post this information in the forums or contribute to our user wiki at https://wiki.logos.com/. Again, thank you for doing all of this work and sharing your expertise with others. Let us know if you need anything further."

My pleasure Floyd and Leo!
FYI, there was a major flaw in the WORD and PDF versions; they're corrupt...
I was unaware that two pages from VIEWING RESOURCES > Truncated Resource Tabs & Command Box Abbreviations kept duplicating themselves in the section INDUCTIVE BIBLE STUDY > PART A: OBSERVATION -- each time I constructed the Table of Contents.
So if you downloaded the LOGOS version, you are fine; if you downloaded the WORD or PDF version you should re-download (I fixed the bug).
This is excellent, Scott! Thank you for putting so much of your time into this!
My one suggestion is that you put what version number of Logos this is for in the cover image and in the document text somewhere. Most of the features are probably present in Logos 6, 7, and 8, and some even as far back as Logos 4, but some might be only in newer versions, and some features have changed significantly even from 7 to 8.
My one suggestion is that you put what version number of Logos this is...
Wow Rosie... I hadn't even thought of that; you're absolutely correct. The title page of the manual now has the "8" in it -- and here's a second version of the book cover.
Here's a thumbnail of what it looks like:
Thanks so much Rosie! Glad we caught this early on )

The original post still downloads the cover without the "8" - can the original link also point to the revised cover? I happened to see this post, so I knew to go hunting for this new cover - others may not be so lucky.

Thanks for your comments Floyd, Jesse, and James.
Good catch James; my sMelling Checker isn't catching the headers. Fixed it (but didn't upload a new version of the manual for such a minor edit).
Floyd, I struggled with this question; I couldn't decide. BUT, because of your comment I went ahead and changed the cover on the post with all the download links (I used BUE v2-8w).

Thanks. One comment on updating the file: You have Delete old file then add new one. I always add the new one and then delete the old one. That way if I get distracted before I add the new file the old file name is still there to remind me what I was doing before I got distracted. Have recently modified the directory structure of my PBB library and found it useful to have the old file name there when I added the new one. Then Delete before Build. [[JMHO]] [The new file gets added as the last file on the list]

[SOLVED] PROBLEMS REBUILDING A BOOK WITH THE LOGOS PERSONAL BOOKS TOOL
This has been a tricky stinker for me as well. I've found that I have to do 2 things to ensure that rebuilding a book goes well:
1) Be connected to the internet
2) Close and reopen Logos before rebuilding a Personal Book
Regarding the Renaming of the source files, an alternative method for you David, may be:
1) Rename the old file (e.g. "logos-manual-20190725.docx")
2) Then put the newly downloaded updated version (i.e. logos-manual.docx) in the same directory the past version was in
3) Now, "BUILD BOOK" (you won't need to RIGHT-CLICK DELETE previous versions, nor will you need to "ADD FILE...")
I'll add these steps right into the manual.

RECENT EDITS
Hi Scott Tried to download the Logos version of the manualnbbut I'm getting the error mesage "Logos-manual docx can't be downloaded securely". Can you help please? Thanks so much. Gerald
Hi Gerald! Sorry for the trouble you're having. Perhaps try to:
Copy the link > Open a new browser tab > Paste the link > Enter
If that doesn't work, perhaps try the above, but in a private (incognito) window. If that doesn't work, please contact me and I'll just email the files to you.

Thanks, but this points to L8 manual. is it an updated L8 manual? Is there an update for L9?
Hi Mark, To my knowledge, everything in the current manual should still be valid for Logos 9 (but, not everything will be valid for Logos 8 at this point). Also, although most of the manual is valid even if someone has the Free versions of Logos, there are some things in the manual -- that apply only to paid versions. I hope this is helpful.

Hi Scott
That helps a lot. Thanks for your work on this.

Mark: I think I now understand why you made this statement. On the 1st page of the manual, there was an image of the word "LOGOS 8 BIBLE" -- but it was cropped to simply say "LOGOS". "LOGOS" is what showed up in the Word and PDF versions of the manual, but when imported into Logos as a Personal Book, it seems that cropped areas of images 'uncrop'. Interesting little bug. So I fixed that and if you download the newest versions of the manuals and import into Logos, that "8 BIBLE" should no longer be there:

Thank you for your efforts Scott. I see for the first time the thread. Would you please list it below the steps from the very beginning ,so that I may easily install and follow the steps ?
Blessings in Christ.
Hey Tes! I hope you find the manual to be helpful.
Download any of the 3 versions of the manual, and you'll find instructions to use the manual, in the beginning under the heading: "HOW TO USE THIS MANUAL" -- then, right at the end of that first section you'll see "Personal Books Tool" to learn how to import it into Logos (and how to manage future updated versions of the manual).
Blessings
