Just wondering.. Logos 10...
Just wondering if there are any "rumors" about what's going to be in Logos 10?
Like maybe ZipScript... or Personal Books in mobile... or improvements on the Search?

I think all you'll be able to find are guesses at this point.L2 lvl4 (...) WORDsearch, all the way through L10,

I’m typing on my phone so not best suited for a search. Do you know how to search the forums via Google? Threads generally start up a bit more than a year out on speculation, requests, etc.
As for personal books, the last official word is that the feature did not end up being used as expected (personal books written by the user) and future development is shelved.

This is the second time you've mentioned this which I apparently missed (or forgot). Do you know where this was mentioned? I know they cancelled the originally promised store aspect -- much to my annoyance.

Perhaps JT is referring to this post by Bob Pritchett from 2016: https://community.logos.com/forums/p/126859/848584.aspx#848584

Presuming 2022 is 2016 (little change), I suspect low use has much to do with not easy to do. I did PBs for a while. I'd bet an integrated PDF reader would solve most people's needs in Logos. I've had one in my Bible software, along with other document readers. Very handy.

If that is so, I get to laugh at myself - I remembered the post solely in respect to its killing of the promised store.[8-|]

That's a great idea!! Love it! But I do hope they give the mobile app the right to view Personal Books.... Hey ... maybe they will do both??? ---- (get's on knees, folds hands together under chin, looks into the heavens... and prays!) [8-|]

The post by Bob was one.
Here is one where Bradley mentioned that personal books were less than... personal.

Here is one (see two posts by Bradley) which mention PDF's and personal books

I have long desired personal books on mobile, but it is clear that FL has determined the feature is against their best interest. In that light, all hope should be tempered. Better to be surprised and delighted (if they change their minds) than disillusioned and disappointed.

Most of my PB's are things like lectionaries, sanctoral calendars, or self-generated materials. I knew that FL was not expanding the use of PB's because of the ways they were being used but I thought they were maintaining it for the essential functions it provides. Your posts made me question that assumption.

I use personal books these days for my Bible study material, notes or sermons. It works great for me and I surely hope I will be able to continue doing this. It would be a huge loss for me if I could not.

The current state of PB's meets my needs well. Mobile access would be great, but I understand why it isn't likely.

I assume that everyone who knows such things has signed an NDA or ten.

I think were looking at 41 1/2 days, with a probability of approx 40%. And 72 days, with a probability of approx 35%. The remainder unknown. Then, in the meantime, a library expansion sale,.

Logos Daily on Facebook said “Something very big is coming…” If I remember correctly, Logos 7 released in late August (8/24/2016 to be exact). So maybe Monday the Logos website will be unavailable due to a “big announcement,” as they always do. Or maybe early September, no one really knows 😂 Anyway, it’ll be here before we know it.

Still might not be a new Logos release, though.

Logos Daily "very big" comment had nothing to do with the release of the next version of Logos. It has to do with consolidating his user base to a new platform.

Well, I never knew, but since same gimmick was used when L9 came out, there was no way of really knowing.

Isn't Logos Daily a separate company unrelated to Faithlife?

Yes, but a similar announcement was made right before L9 came out. So makes you wonder if they know something Or they just have my gift of guessing (most of the time) when a new version of Logos comes out 😉 I even guessed the name “ Logos Ultimate!” 😂

I have no idea if they get advanced notice. Mo Proctor obviously does as he usually has "what's new in ..." available on release day. I suspect, but am less sure, that Fr. Devin Roza likely has advanced knowledge to produce his Verbum videos. As for the other unofficial Logos training sites, I've seen nothing to give away whether or not they have advanced knowledge. Yes, you do seem to hold the record for most accurate guesses. Have you guessed the features of L10 yet?

Well something caused me to wonder more today....
Notice how all the complaints and questions are getting smaller? Seems like they are not as many now as there was a while back...
Could FL be thinking.... "Well... we got everything calmed down... so let's not give another update for a while just rest while we can... so.... no Logos 10"... lol
Hmmmmm...............
