Do you have a problem with Video not playing when "On Air"? Answer

Last night we first had this problem in Proclaim and we could not work out the answer. Videos would play in Edit and in Preview but will not play once we go "on Air" so we had to watch the video in Preview mode. We always started video with spacebar or arrow.
The answer is that "start playing automatically" has is to be ticked for the vide to play when "on Air".
Just sharing if you have this problem

I agree this needs to be ticked if you want it to play automatically.
But, even if not, you should be able to play the video while On Air by clicking the play button in the monitor window. Does this work for you?

Graham,
I cannot duplicate your Proclaim screen as when I click "On Air" it goes to the full display screen (what the congregation would see) and there is no play button.

Hi Stephen
Do you have a two “monitors” - one to control Proclaim and the other connecting to a projector etc?
If so, do you have them set to “extend” or “mirror”? (Using Windows terminology but the equivalent applies in a Mac context)

Here are the settings for the Mac.

Graham & Mike,
Thank you for taking the time to reply. While I have a desktop with a dual monitor, I use an HP Pavilion laptop with Proclaim and my church uses an Apple mac. All had the same issue of being unable to start a video with space bar or arrow. I have just checked with my HP and going to "On Air" using shift+f5 when at the video to be played only gives black screen. If you use arrows to forward while on Air it goes to next slide without playing video.
This seems to be new behaviour that none of my AV team remember from previous weeks. Is this a bug in the update?
At least we can play videos by having "start playing automatically" ticked.

Sorry Stephen
Are you saying that when you click the play arrow (in the red box on Graham's screen shot) that the video still will not play?
Please provide a screen shot from your system. On the Mac Cmd+Shift+5 is your friend here.
