Can you increase the xml file to 55 mb?  My library is at 52.8 mb.

I do wonder if it is possible to build a collection of those books, also to find books that are not yet in the index and maybe create supplemental information to it.

Has anyone found a way to build a collection of the included books?

I have figured out a way to tag the books included in the index. If someone else is trying to do that, you can use the linked Excel file. Instructions are inside. The file will built a search string for you, that you can use to filter your library to the included books and then tag them as needed. Please let me know if you run into any problems. If you can think of an easier way to do all of that, especially if it is inside Logos, please let me know as well [:)] 

You could also use this to build a collection, but I suspect the long search string would slow down Logos. Better to tag the books first and then base the collection on the tag.

This is a new version of the Index of Bible Studies in Logos, with the addition of 123 new books (now 2632) and 3159 new links (now 81221). All the books in the Logos Max subscription have been added. Thanks also to Chris Heil, who indexed some books that I do not have.

This file contains links to sermons, meditations, outlines, journal articles, Bible study guides, non versified commentaries, and more that do not appear in the Passage Guide. (Exception: some sermons now appear in the Passage Guide, but did not when I started, and I thought I would not remove them.) It is useful especially when preparing Bible studies or sermons or doing personal study on a certain passage, to find more ideas on the passage from your library that you can use.

To install the Index, download the Index Bible Studies.docx file, then use the Personal Books tool of Logos to create a new personal book. You can use whatever title you like, but it is best to set the type to "Bible commentary". In a message of this thread from April 2024 you can find a book cover that you can optionally use. The message https://community.logos.com/forums/p/65323/1093313.aspx#1093313 gives graphical instructions for this installation.

The index contains the books in my Logos library, and a few for which I had a temporary licence. There is a list of the included books at the end of the Index Bible Studies.docx file. Naturally, I cannot include books that are in your library but not in mine. However, it is possible to exclude books that are in my library but not in yours, which makes the resulting personal book easier to use. There were two ways to create this personal index, but it seems that one of them does not work anymore. The Logos COM API was broken or silently removed sometime after April, or at least I can not get it to work. So only the web based method is possible now, following these instructions:

1. In Logos, open the Library.
2. Click on the three vertical dots on the top right of the Library window, and in the menu that opens choose Print/Export.
3. In the Print/Export window, click on the Save as file: XML link, and choose in which directory to save the Library.xml file.
4. Go to https://www.laparola.net/indexlogos.php , click the Choose File button, navigate to where you saved the Library.xml file, and then choose it.
5. Click the Submit button on that page.
6. If all goes well, the browser will download a file called myindex.rtf, which probably will be saved in the Downloads directory of your computer.
7. Open the myindex.rtf file in Word or another word processor and save it as a docx file.
8. In Logos, create a personal book from that docx file, in the same way as described above, setting the type to "Bible commentary".

I am a bit confused up to now there have been several different updates with different numbers. How do they relate to each other? If I install this one, what do I do with the previous updates? Or is this all inclusive?

I keep adding content. So this (latest) file contains all the books and links in previous versions of the file, and more. So if you go to the Personal Books tool in Logos, "Index Bible Studies" should already be listed. Click on the name "Index Bible Studies" to open up the options to edit it. If you save the file from the forum to the same place as previously, replacing the previous version of the Index Bible Studies.docx file, you can just click the "Build book" button, and the personal book in Logos will be updated to the new version.

I had one minor error: [Warning] Unknown data type in use: topic+topics. It didn't seem to affect anything.

I think I misunderstood you. Thinking that all the previous updates are included in the latest update, I deleted all of them from my Word doc. and left with the latest one, so when I try to search I only get one result for 2 Pet 1:1-11 even though I had many results with the other updates. Is there a way to get them back with a single update?

Did you compile the book from the docx-File Richard provided? Did you edit that file in any way before compiling it in Logos?

Or if you used the web based method: Before you exported your library, was your library view filtered in any way? That could have been the reason that books are missing from the index.
