He has some superb commentaries that I would really like to have in my Library.0
-
Yes I agree. Especially his new 3 volume set – The Hebrew Bible: A Translation with Commentary.0

I just noticed that I am not the only one who is interested in these books:

I believe several of the translations with commentary by Robert Alter would be a very popular and valuable addition to Logos. His work on Old Testament narratives is stunning. A tremendous tool for any student and all teachers of the Bible.
His works optimized for use in Logos would be my highest priority addition to my library.1 -
There are already a couple of highly-voted suggestions for Robert Alter books. Probably best not to dilute the pool, but go vote for these:

Agree, can't happen soon enough. I'm especially anxious to see his translation of the Hebrew Bible as a Logos Edition.0
-
An absolute must have! I rely heavily on Alter’s efforts, and consider his translation and brief commentary whenever I study OT scripture.0
-
Now that Alter has translated and commented on the whole Tanakh, it would be great to integrate these resources, particularly as he not only applies a literary but also close to literal method which endeavours to hew close both to the sense and the sound of the original.0
-
I am shocked that Alter's books are not available on Logos.0

These are really important books. It would be fantastic to have his translation and a reverse interlinear.0
-
The three volume Hebrew Translation would be an excellent addition to the Logos library.0
-
We have a few of his books available at the public libraries in little old Auckland, New Zealand of all places! ...Seems a bit odd that one of the largest Bible Software programmes doesn't have any! 😂0
-
Yes. I love to see it in Logos.0
-
I see that it is planned--any update?0
