Yes, ANDROID NEEDS THIS DESPERATELY!
I would like the functionality of the Logos Mobile App having the ability to read any of your books in your Logos library audibly. This would include any version scripture or other books in my Logos Library. I want to be able to listen to my books via the Logos app as I am driving or sitting in my office.
YES!!! I want the Logos Mobile app to be able to read any scripture or book in the Logos Library so I can listen to it while I am driving, sitting in my office or relaxing on the back porch. The mobile app REALLY needs this ability. This provides access to books for the blind, those with other sight disabilities as well as those who may simply want to relax and listen to Christian literature.
Yes, yes, please PLEASE improve the Read Aloud feature!! In addition to the above, please:
4. Allow more speed options (e.g. speed slider)
5. Make it more reliable, better tested (e.g. don't pause at awkward places, don't stop suddenly)
6. Make "Show word by word indicator" (aka "Karaoke dancing dot") work for human narrator as well as system narrator, PLEASE!!

This would be a fantastic update and would be a significant step-up for the mobile app. I realize there are additional complexities given that so many of the logos resources are multilingual. None of the available built-in text to speech options on mobile apps really know what to do with accents in ancient Greek (they mostly just skip or mispronounce, making the TTS essentially unusable for many of the resources) and I'm hoping that this would end up finally being the one TTS that overcomes this issue.
Not sure how much this is being monitored, but since this project appears to be moving forward (though I wish we had a rough timeline on it), I should probably add to my above comment for anyone who is involved in designing the TTS updates on mobile, especially if they plan on taking into account the multilingual resources offered through Logos. As mentioned, there is no text to speech, on any platform, that seems to know what to do with accents in ancient Greek, leading to garbled and spotty pronunciation (though Hebrew tends to be handled well), and most language detection is extremely glitchy. Speak screen on IOS, for example, tends to switch to a Greek voice as soon as it detects Greek letters, and then not only ignores or mispronounces most of the letters that have accents on them (would be far better if they just ignored all accents), but also often fails to switch back to an English voice once the English lettering starts again, particularly if there are numbers after the Greek letters. It's clear that the kind of resource offered by Logos is simply not envisioned by IOS designers. If Logos takes such details into account in their design, it will be completely sui generis, offering scholars something that is unmatched anywhere; the ability to study and research in depth in a whole new and much more efficient way. Hope that's helpful;-)
Just as the desktop version has the opportunity to read aloud, it would be wonderful for the mobile version to be able to do the same without needing to keep the screen unlocked.
An example would be YouTube, where the video/file will play but it will shut off once the screen display goes off. I’d like an option for read-aloud on the mobile that plays while it’s in my pocket.

There are many books that I have to purchase for school. For example:Introducing Christian doctrine 3rd Edition by Millard J Erickson. I spend a lot of time in the car which is the reason why an audio version of textbooks is very important to me. I decided I had to purchase this book through a different app which is call vitalsource. This app allows the text-to-speech function of my device to function within the app making an ebook an audiobook. Logos needs to do this. I would much rather have all of my material within logo system. But unless I can actually use the read aloud on my mobile device I will not be able to make all of my purchases through logos. Please fix this
I am a student, and it would help immensely for there to be an automated read out loud feature added to the app. Especially if it included variable read speed. Just to be clear, I'm not talking of an audio book, just a read aloud feature as for accessibility.
You would be doing us all a great service if you included this feature into the app. Thanks

Please prioritize adding read aloud for resources to the mobile app. I'm in seminary and, being an aural learner, it would massively aid my studies if I was able to listen to my resources on iPhone/iPad when I am out and about, sparing precious extra time for family and other responsibilities. This will carry over directly into ministry as well and would be so helpful for busy pastors in staying well read.
Yes please! As a student of the word I need this! I have more than a thousand books in logos and it would greatly improve and help with my studies. It would be impossible for me to read through everything in it. Plus it would add more perks on buying the logos’ ebook version rather than Amazon or other ebook websites. Please do this.
