AI in any iteration is going to EXPLODE across the globe in VERY short order. As I am attempting be on the leading edge of understanding and usage, though certainly not production of AI, I highly recommend Logos develop an inner circle of people to begin to integrate understanding and co-habitation with it. I would be happy to provide personal insights and be part of a team to explore the possibilities of using AI for "Sharing the Gospel of Christ" in the world!

We’re exploring a number ways in which AI could help improve Logos, including an AI-assisted search. Is there any particular problems you think Logos AI could help with?

I think a general language model like ChatGTP powered by all books in the personal logos library would be awesome.

That way it’s not only one thing solved with AI, but depending on the prompt almost every kind of search and work can be done.
  • @Mark Barnes (Faithlife)  There are so many possibilities! "what does the Bible say about...?" type querries, "build a clippings doc with passages on 'Sabbath' ", etc. In some ways, Chat GPT does a lot of this without Logos, so introducing quality data into the synthesis would be amazing!

I would very much like to see AI technology integrated into Logos search capabilities.  I.e. I would like to be able to type a sentence like, "give me every instance in my library where fasting is discussed as a topic, rather than just briefly mentioned."   I know that there is currently search capabilities such as the Subheadings search that may do something similar, but I feel like there is likely a lot being missed in the search results.

Furthermore, this could also help Logos to sell more resources if this sort of search capability / AI assistant were trained on their store resources as well.  If the AI assistant not only pulled up the results to my inquiry from my own library but was also able to tell me what resources that I don't currently own that correspond to my search inquiry, I might be inclined to purchase something that I don't already own.
  • Google has created NotebookLM which allows you to ask questions of more than one resource at a time if you wish. With Notebook LM it can only answer questions found in the documents downloaded not on the internet. That type of capability would be an incredible resource within Logos.

I have an invention that is working properly. It is called "Solomon" an evangelism chatbot. Contact me to discuss it, please.
  • I would love to see an AI reader as a part of logos.
  • I would like if the desktop app settings allowed defining the local host for the AI server so we could use a local LLM such as via LM Studio. It would have some limitations like a smaller context length, generally slower speed vs cloud computing, and won't have the full libraries as training data, but would allow a great deal of customization in terms of the AI objectives/system prompts.
