These wonderful lectionary preaching resources by womanist biblical scholar Wilda C. Gafney would be great to have in Logos. The readings are selected to focus on women's stories in scripture. The texts for each Sunday are a translation by the author, followed by brief notes on the text and preaching prompts. Year W is a standalone resource that covers all four gospels in a year. Year A is the first of a three-year cycle (Year B and C are forthcoming) that focuses on the gospel of Matthew along with readings from John.

Product Description:
What would it look like if women built a lectionary focusing on women’s stories? What does it look like to tell the good news through the stories of women who are often on the margins of scripture and often set up to represent bad news? How would a lectionary centering women’s stories, chosen with womanist and feminist commitments in mind, frame the presentation of the scriptures for proclamation and teaching?

The scriptures are androcentric, male-focused, as is the lectionary that is dependent upon them. As a result, many congregants know only the biblical men's stories told in the Sunday lectionary read in their churches. A more expansive, more inclusive lectionary will remedy that by introducing readers and hearers of scripture to “women's stories” in the scriptures.

A Women’s Lectionary for the Whole Church, when completed, will be a three-year lectionary accompanied by a stand-alone single year lectionary, Year W, that covers all four gospels. Year A features the Gospel of Matthew with John interwoven as is the case in the Revised Common Lectionary (RCL) and Episcopal Lectionary.

    This request overlaps https://feedback.faithlife.com/boards/logos-book-requests/posts/the-women-s-lectionary-preaching-the-women-of-the-bible-throughout-the-year

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

@MJ Smith they are two different books by two different authors from two different perspectives and approaches. I don't want people to assume they're essentially the same resource. Of course there's room for both in Logos, but they are not just two versions of the same thing. Gafney is a Hebrew scholar and Womanist theologian who actually provides her own translation of the texts to give different language for public worship (including but not limited to preaching). I've actually seen people singing/chanting her translations of the Psalms in worship. She also gives notes on her translation and preaching prompts as I mentioned above. Wilcox is a preaching consultant whose main audience is preachers, she doesn't supply a translation but includes commentary and reflection questions. Just wanted to explain that in case people confused them for the same resource or wondered what the difference was between the two. I'd love to see both in Logos.

A Women's Lectionary for the Whole Church (Year B) is now available for pre-order. Can Logos please produce Year B as well?

@Kiyah  I don't see it. I've even checked for books not geographically available to me and it's not there.
