If we're reading a book with columns, the scrollbars disappear!

Do you mean columns within the resource or column set by the user. If the latter, then a scroll bar is very complex for no gain. If the former, I agree with you.

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

My idea is to fix the very problem the attached image shows. If the app is letting us read a Bible in two columns, we don't need to lose the scrollbar because of it. This is a bug.

I understand when you say you can't see the gain. Some people (including me) see no reason for a dark theme, but for others, it's an outstanding feature... You mentioned columns within the resource. Sometimes the vertical section is there because the resource editor himself sees the "gain". Maybe in these cases, the benefit is in the eye of the beholder. Some people, including me, find that many times two columns offer a better reading experience than one. Some people disagree, and that's okay.

Anyway, what is so challenging about to fix this bug? Why is repair the Logos desktop app reading window so complex, since the same feature was already implemented on Logos mobile app ages ago, besides being standard on the Kindle Windows App and so many other ebooks readers?
