will I still be able to use logos if my Ipad can get IOS updates.
I would assume so. Perhaps I don't fully understand your concern?
@Aaron Hamilton Ipad and Iphones has a lifespan of 5-6 years of Updates. So when the Ipad can no longer update will I still need able to make use of ipad with Logos. It does not seem right for me to upgrade every 6 years. We cant pay for the rest of our lives a fee for devices.
Thanks. It seems your original post had a typo (can instead of can't). I wouldn't be overly concerned. I assume the day will come when a device that hasn't been updated will no longer work properly, but that would likely be many years after it has stopped updating. My phone hasn't updated in a couple of years and still runs Logos just fine.
Once you have it installed you should be ok on that device. The problem would begin when the version in the store would refuse to install on an older version of iPadOS.
Even if you end up using your iPad well beyond its useful life, you would still be able to use the Logos webapp in the browser.
If you have a later model iPad with an Mx series processor, I would not expect for it to become obsolete for a very long time.
I am using an iPad mini 5th generation, which is now 6 years old. This one predates the M series processors and does not support Apple Intelligence. (not a big deal to me). Today it just updated the latest security patch for iPadOS 18.5. I have no plans to replace it 😎
@John I have the Ipad Air M1 model. And financially it does not make sense for me to upgrade every 3 years. I hope I will be able to still use it for Logos when Apple stops supporting it with IpadOS. I am happy to replace it after 8-10 years. But not every 3-6 years.
My Power Lookup tool is showing only a very limited number of resources available to it (only 2, both Lexham Lexicons, when I look up Greek words in the NT). Is there a solution to this problem? All my resources are indexed (up to date). Thanks.
@Rick Mansfield (Logos) is there any chance this book can come back for sale in logos? It used to be for sale and it is hyperlinked in one of my systematic theology books but is no longer for sale. I see that it is a moody title and I know those went away for a little bit, but I thought they were all back.
Now what? I am trying to return a book with some nasty profanity. Attempting to contact someone on chat, I get this:
Logos sold me a profanity-laced book (think the worst words you can think of). Logos would not let me return the book because my order was a smidgen over 30 days old. Fair enough. But now I have this junk in my library. Distaste is growing. My confidence in Logos' quality isn't there anymore. But here is the real reason…
I have just gotten a new phone to replace my five-year-old phone. I have installed Logos on the new phone. I do understand Logos permits an unlimited number of installations under my license, limited to devices I own and of which I am the sole user, and I take good advantage of that - as I spread my usage over a number of…
