Make search better by allowing filters

For example, it is remarkable (in a bad way), that we still cannot do a simple search with a filter. For example, maybe I want to search Luther for "union". One would think it would be as simple as typing

union author:Luther

In fact, 15 years ago, this was already (incorrectly) suggested as the solution to a similar post.

This sort of filtering should also be possible by publisher, year, editor, translator, and every other property.

If I am wrong, and I hope I am, and this is simply a case of undocumented functionality—please enlighten me.

The post you referenced described using Collections to enable that sort of searching which does work so it would be useful to know in what way it didn't work for you.

But there is an alternative where you can enter a filter in the Your Books dropdown - and then select the top option

This, I believe, gives the required result

Why should we settle for a kludgy workaround using collections?

I do really appreciate you pointing out that the first link can be used to filter results. That is a huge help.

That being said, I still seems strange to me that the main search field does not allow basic filtering on book data. "author:schmemann" doesn't work.

return to previous version for turning on/off interlinear
NOW it 2-3 clicks. 1.Click view to get the right bar to show 2. click the Greek Hebrew letters 3. select on/off BEFORE ONE click the Greek Hebrew letters hit the down arrow to options what one want to see why take it from a simple one click to 2-3 clicks? why take it from simple to complex?
Add notes to Passages in Passage lists
It is great being able to create a passage list around a particular topic. It would be more helpful if after making a passage list, you are able to add comments under each individual passage so that you can commment/have a note explaining how that passage relates to the topic.
