Resource I.D. codes (missing? or a new "feature")

if I am moving to a new computer or need to reformat the old one, I don't want to have to re-download every resource on top of re-indexing everything...
To me its just a good excuse to go Coffee Hoping. I don't need to with Fios (my 500 meg downloads take just a couple of minutes) but If I were on a slower connection at home I would plot out a course, hope from coffee shop to coffee shop with free WiFi buying the cheapest coffee they have and download until I max out what they would give me.
Not sure how this works for those of you in the in the Australia Dust bowl, though. I hope none of you are caught up in that dust storm in Sydney I've been seeing on the news.
I am looking forward to never having to plug another installation disk in again! I'm guessing all I will need to do is type in my new license number if I pick up a box and whala. At least I'm hoping that's how it will work.

We could only dream of such speeds. I might get 500 MB in an hour!
Andrew McKenzie might have copped some being in/near Brisbane, I live too far south in Melbourne but Stephen Miller lives in Sydney. Not sure where Damian lives and there are some more!

Certainly did get some ...and then more.... its just after 4am the next day and I can still taste it in the air somewhat... suppossed to be clearing up today....
The picture here is about 10mins drive from my home.... this is the at the Northern end of Brisbane looking out on what should be the Pacific Ocean.....

while this one shows the same location, what is known as 'South Bank' to locals, at three different points in time... in the third picture there is basically no visibility....

South Bank is located on the south bank of the brisbane river, it was the site of World Expo 88, and directly opposite on the north bank of the river is Brisbane City.
EDIT NOTE:
Normally this is the sort of change in whether in a short space of time that us Northerns say to expect when you visit Melbourne. The Victorians didn't miss out totally though I beileve they had some reports of minor earthquake tremors the evening before but details of that got blown away by the dust storms so I haven't fully caught up with the details on that.0 -

[^o)] I think you've been drinking way too much [C] but just in case you are right I'd better make sure I take my [um] if I go out in case the dust is followed up by a [st]....

Yes, here in Sydney, Australia, yesterday I experienced first hand the full blown L4 resource cloud.
The download started during the night when downloads are usually quiet. By 6am the sky was bright red .... the official colour of the dust is pindan .... and visibility down to about 50 metres.
Telstra (our major communications giant) made a bonanza with the biggest ever number of photos being pushed around the city.
The download lasted about 6 hours and then cleared very quickly. Very spectacular, but very irritating. Today everything is crystal clear but dust is still lying everywhere .... especially on cars.
I hope we don't get this resource cloud download every time I update my weather pattern.

I live too far east of the city to be bothered by extremes of weather which usually comes from the west. No earthquake either!

I can not find this "code" etc in the L.4. Library Info, or anywhere else within L4.
Not sure if you noticed already, but this has been added (but--I think--wasn't mentioned in the release notes). In a resource window, click the (i) in the upper right to show resource information. At the bottom is a "Support Info" section with the ID and version of the resource.

I am not sure when that appeared but it has been very handy the last couple of days trying to sort out all the "gifts" as reflected within my L3 Account Summary.
thanks again,
steve
