Missed Opportunity

To Whom It May Concern:

Good morning, I have been a long-time user of Logos. From time to time I utilize the Fact Book, and love the "Today in Christian History" where Logos goes on to list prominent Christians. I was saddened to discover that for January 16th, Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s birthday, there was no mention of him, nor on April 4, his date of death, was there any mention of him. Does Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., not deserve to be included? What are the requirements?

I don't use this aspect of the Factbook, but I think it feeds from the Today in Christian History resources from the Christian History Institute. Maybe there is no entry included for Dr King in these resources. If that's the case, maybe the publisher is the best place to make this suggestion.

The data was from several years ago and was limited in scope. It was focused primarily in a couple of areas:

Anniversaries of the birth and death of authors

Anniversaries of the publication of books

Specifically there was a focus on persons who had books that were carried in Logos. At the time I don't think we carried any of his titles.

I'll use this as a plug for a forthcoming update where we will incorporate data curated by the Christian History Institute.

I scrolled through and it does mention MLK's death, but not his birth.

Here is a screen shot of , April 4, the day of Dr. King's death. There is no mention of him.
