Ditto, no help file here at β6.
Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.

Thanks for looking into this. I'll await the resolution.

I never had it, period, [:(]then learned it is par for the course in beta testing so I stopped expecting it. Now, I look forward to seeing it. I would think feedback from how users interact with the help file and its effects would also be of interest to Logos pre-release of L4.Bradley Grainger said:AndrewMckenzie said:On my old pc which was running b3 or b4 not sure help file had installed correctly and I was able to use. I'm in desparate need of whatever the help offers even if it is incomplete. The software is in no way intuitative or straight foward to use for a non-mac / non-iphone / non-any mobile device beyond a simple phone user.

To clarify I had the help file from β1-β5 but it's not there in β6

This is what I get when I hit F1 or used the Question Mark (top right) access to HELP. Unless that isn't what you're looking for, and I am confused again .. *smile*
I can then explore various features of help either by "search" OR scrolling ....

You are not the one who is confused; that is what we should get. Mine is blank. I'm the type who learns best by reading, not by hunting and pecking which really does shift me out of walking in peace and joy. So, I will wait and pray.[A] This really can be fun, too.Milford Charles Murray said:Joan Korte said:Milford,

Hope it works for you soon, Joan. Actually I've never been without my help file for the entire Beta Program. It can be fun, but that are times that I get annoyed ...

I don't have it still and havent' had a download since b8 install has there been another download?

Yes, there was one (at least for me, but it couldn't have been just me) Wednesday afternoon for me (EST); it was about 25 MB or so. I posted the thanks to Bradley above about an hour after I received it. I would think that everybody would have gotten it. So, it raises the question for me, do I get all the downloads there are to be had, or can I miss one? Back to the idea of the user knowing "what" is being updated/downloaded.AndrewMckenzie said:Joan Korte said:Andrew,

I still don't have it either. I'm not aware of a download since the B8 one, as with Andrew. I've opened and closed L4, put "Update now" and "Sync now" in the command bar thing, several times yesterday afternoon, evening and now this morning (Mountain - Calgary Alberta - time). No download. No help. And, I agree with Joan, no idea of what I'm missing.
Some people have all the help!

I had help files in beta 1. I diddn't use them in Betas 2 to 6. I went to look for them in Beta 8 only to find that they have disappeared!

Well your a step ahead of me Chris, without a help file I don't even know about those commands, but like you several restarts since beta 8 and no sign of another download. At least I know its just not me.

Those commands come from the forum - mainly Beta Release Notes!

Hi gentlemen
What I did when I got the Help section was to attempt to copy and paste it all into a Word doc. and it doesn't lend it self to copy. So, I went into Reading View and did a print screen into Word and ended up with a 10mb document that is like a scan. It is incomplete and some sections I didn't need but it really makes things a lot easier.

I picked up on one from the forum and the other by trail and error (mostly error). I've tried various possible commands in the command line. What I find strange/frustrating is that suggestions are propogated as you start typing, but not all possibles.
For example, type "up" and you don't get the suggestion "update now" only after you get all the way to "update" do you get that suggestion. Similar with "sync now" type "sy" you get several suggestions but not "sync now" until you get all the way to "sync." See this video.
So, I've tried all kinds of possible commands -- no others work -- such as "get resources" "download resources" "find resources" "resources . . ." "get help" "help update" "update help" etc. etc. to see if any work.
This "hiddeness" makes it all the harder to figure out what works -- without help.

I've gotten the help file w/ Beta 8 in one installation today, but not in 2 others. Seems an odd mystery. The one I got was on a machine thaat I had not upgraded to Beta 8 unrtil today, if that makes any difference.

I found a bug today which may be why you aren't seeing the updated help resource. We plan on shipping Beta 9 tonight, which should deliver this bugfix to you.
