    Hi Matthew, (Matthew C. Jones)

God's mercies are new every morning...you can still confess your sin, repent and start sipping the good stuff (Coke-Cola!)

It's never too late to do the right thing...(ha)

And yes, if coffee makes you spiritual, Coke, Christian?  Or do I go too far??

Any ways....if only our battles were in the soda arena.

May God bless,     (& yes, good coffee seems heaven sent)

I almost hesitate to ask, but didn't the Kingston Trio sing a ballad about you many years ago (1958)? I am pleased to hear that you survived. [8-|]

Actually, the star of that story was named Tom Dula, but we North Carolinians sometimes pronounce things in strange ways. Besides,  Tom Dooley is more musical sounding. If you don't know the story, you can find it here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tom_Dula and the you can hear the Trio sing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AoBLGE2cCdU

Anyway, welcome to the forums. Don't be a stranger.

Hahaaa, yes they did, and since I was in 2nd grade at the time, the nuns had fun with it for a few years.  Instead of cracking my knuckles with a ruler, sometimes they made me stand up while the class sang to me...THEN they cracked my knuckles

Updated the original post in this thread. http://community.logos.com/forums/p/34510/258522.aspx#258522

Could you then please unhide this thread, so that we can click on people's name, get to their profile page, find the link to their Meet and Greet post, and go here to remind ourselves who they are. Seems counterproductive with presentations that can't be found...

Thanks Oliver. Apparently I offended the Coke moderator enough to get a thread locked down.[6]  You see, I was out of coffee this morning and whined too loudly over  here  They know me well enough by now to do damage control and they locked down my silly tirade. [:#]  In 5 minutes I insulted my neighboring state, my own state, my breakfast, my lunch and Thomas' addiction to caffeine. I think a theological debate would have fared better.

Are you aware Coca-Cola once marketed a bottled Coffee-Coke mixed soft drink called BlāK? After drinking it you might need one of my specialy sodas:

image        Yes, it says "antacid flavored"

I've had enough cups now to want to break out in a few spiritual hymns.

Praise God for creating the coffee beans!

addendum: This is one time I wouldl dare to speak officially, if I only could.

    On behalf of Logos, their employees, and the wild bunch of strange people who walk these forums;

I extend a hearty welcome to the (too many to accurately count)  #? of posters new to the forums. It is fascinating to meet you and I never dreamed of the cool differences and similarities we share. And to the 90% who are too shy to post yet, go ahead. I would like to see 100,000 posters before the year is out. [;)]

If you're wondering why I posted that (I didn't actually apply to be on the "beautiful people" site), I noted that they had a snafu that allowed a large number of "undesireables" to join so they kicked them off.  I thought it was funny since "beauty is in the eye of the beholder."
