PB:THE WYCLIFFE BIBLE
John Wycliffe Bible no add Deuterocanon.
NT A D 1380, OT A D 1388.
The first hand-written English language Bible manuscripts were produced in 1380's AD by John Wycliffe, an Oxford professor, scholar, and theologian. Wycliffe, (also spelled “Wycliff” & “Wyclif”), was well-known throughout Europe for his opposition to the teaching of the organized Church, which he believed to be contrary to the Bible. With the help of his followers, called the Lollards, and his assistant Purvey, and many other faithful scribes, Wycliffe produced dozens of English language manuscript copies of the scriptures. They were translated out of the Latin Vulgate, which was the only source text available to Wycliffe. The Pope was so infuriated by his teachings and his translation of the Bible into English, that 44 years after Wycliffe had died, he ordered the bones to be dug-up, crushed, and scattered in the river!
Enjoy!
2 Peter 3:18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.

Excluding, of course, the Old English manuscripts starting circa 600 AD. But the first complete Middle English Bible is Wycliffe[8-|] I think it would be good to read the Wikipedia article on Wycliffe to get a better grasp on his battle with the Church - it was primarily over secular power and possessions rather than translations. see logosres:manhlycath;ref=VolumePage.V_1,_p_173;off=-109 gives the details of the council In fact, St. Thomas More thought of Wycliffe's translation as a Catholic translation.

Hi Naveen, There is no Psalms 123:5-8 in modern Bibles and that is why that error is there.

Thank you for putting this together. Because this is produced from a manuscript I assume there will be some variations between them. Having looked this up online occasionally, it will be nice to have it right in Logos when needed.

Thank you ... it is helpful but please continue to support the English translation bundle so we have a full-fledged Logos version.

Thank you, MJ. I placed my bid for that bundle a few weeks ago. I hope we see it go to production reasonably soon. Thanks for rallying the support for it in this thread.

When I try to build the PB it says I need a license. When I go to the suggested link on Logos.com, it says it can't find the file. I have ordered and pre-ordered everything Wycliffe I can from Logos. What am I missing here?
