BUG(s): Syntax search on Mac (beta & release)

Syntax search construction is an area where the mac version has lagged for too long. Watching the "syntax database" webcast recording from John @learnlogos.com it was confirmed that it is pretty much anyone on a mac is left out in the cold.
The core issue: you cannot reliably create/add/edit a syntax search. The panel crashes consistently. This is a LONG standing issue and I'm happy to recreate and add logs, but this is SO easily recreated it seems redundant. (Yes, you do here frustration undertones).
Keep Smiling: it seems that this should be added to the parity piece. Yes?

Sam attempts; same results. The only difference is that restarting L4 Mac leaves a blank Search window that cannot be dismissed.

It is becoming more and more difficult to have any level of enthusiasm about L4 Mac when long-standing faults seem to get no attention from Logos. It is past time to stop adding new features that do not work on the Mac OS.
Instead of creating more, why not fix what we have?

Restarted the Mac {Something that was NEVER necessary prior to L4} and restarted L4 Mac. Same result. I have a blank search window that cannot be dismissed.
I am very tired of needing to start Parallels and Windows in order to do any serious Bible Study. Please Logos, fix these things. We need what we have to work far more than we need new features. You do not have enough Mac programmers because they are not deployed where most needed.
Don't know what good it will do, but here are the log files.

The sad saga continues. Deleted L4 Mac, downloaded and installed the latest Beta. Restarted L4 Mac with the results described above. I now have a completely unusable application on my Mac desktop.
Logos—how about some assistance here.

Please elaborate some repeatable syntax search crash steps using Logos 4 Mac; added Feature Parity item with link to this thread:
- PC Syntax Search can reliably create and edit Syntax Searches, while Mac has annoying bugs
While creating a syntax search for ἐν κύριος, found a repeatable way to cause search window to vanish from view.
After entering lemma for a word, then clicking modifier, watched search window disappear:
Could return search window to foreground focus by using Logos 4 Mac window menu, which had check mark by "Untitled syntax search"
Also aware of Bug: Syntax Search Box Very Small for running a Syntax Search using a template provided by Logos and another bug => Bug: Syntax Search Produces Strange Boxes

What's the point? This is an ongoing problem with both Beta and Stable releases. Right now, I am thoroughly disgusted with L4 Mac, and it is time to leave for Church. Perhaps, I will be calmer then.

Being a non-programmer, this does not tell me much of anything. I want a working application. Short of deleting everything and re-installing, how do I get rid of that blank window? Not sure that even that would fix things, since this problem seems fixed in the cloud.
Not a very happy camper as L4 Mac does not work and Windows has another problem which makes my desktop machine unusable for Logos.
UPDATE: Use Blank Layout cured the persistent empty window problem.

When you entered θεός in the Lemma field, did you also click the blue arrow to the right of the entry?
After my last experience, I will not attempt syntax search in L4 Mac until Logos sees fit to fix this feature

I second your sentiment. This is way beyond issues with feature parity. Its too the point of outright neglect. Logos NEVER has been my go to choice for morphological or syntactic searches. When I was on a PC during the days of L3 I always used BibleWorks for all my original language study. I thought with the advent of L4 I could make the switch to a Mac and sell my copy of BibleWorks. So I sold my copy of BibleWorks and bought a Mac.
Well, guess what.... There's now an oil lamp on my dock if you know what I mean (*cough Accordance *cough). I can't remember a time that the oil lamp failed to run a search properly.
If I remember right, Logos was the company that introduced syntax searching. So sad that they have forgotten about us Mac guys in this area. I am usually pretty supportive of Logos, but this is one area where they are NOT producing a good product.

In 2006-07, I commented repeatedly on the newsgroups that Mac users would not want an application that was a poor step-sister to the Windows version. In this area, Logos is testing to see if I was correct.

No need to test it... You WERE right and still ARE right!
I don't know why its even included on Logos for Mac with all the problems it causes. At least with handouts we aren't reminded daily of what we missing, right!
EDIT: Plus, we Mac users are use to things functioning properly. If anyone should be able to ignore a "poor step-sister" type program, its the Windows Users [:P] not the Mac guys.

Here's one example. I'll post at least one a day, maybe more until I hear otherwise.
Trying to replicate found another quirk, which is not affected by clicking Show details:
Bit challenging to get details to show lemma, which had been entered using g:kurio then clicked in drop down list.
By the way, clicking search finds nothing with lemma g:kurio

Creating/editing Syntax Search Documents should be improved in 4.5b Beta 3. If there are any issues, please start a new thread in the Mac Beta forum and include your diagnostic logs.

It did, Thank you. Now, I can go back to John Fallahee's video on Syntax Search and make it do useful work.
