Large Note File Sync
I just wanted to check up with several users who were having difficulties syncing notes/highlights to the mobile app. At the time we thought this might be to "large" amounts of notes & highlights. If you were having problems with this, could you give an update?
If you are still having problems, please include the following:
- The app version you are using (Logos or Vyrso; release number)
- Desktop version you are using (Mac or PC; release number)
- What mobile device are you using? What are the specs?
- What version of iOS are you running?

I am not able to sync highlights created in a custom palette. Other highlights are syncing seamlessly. Thank you for your continued attention to this matter.

Stephanie - Are the highlights unusual? Do they use graphics? Are they just plain highlighters?

Highlights contain images
That feature is not currently available. There are "hopes" to bring it in a later release, but Logos has not given any time table.

sad... let me be sure I understand, tho... if even a single highlight within the custom palate contains an image, the palette will not sync? I ask because the custom palettes I have created contain mostly images, but there are some styles which are simply a combination of background color and borders. NONE of them are syncing. (Just to be clear). I will try creating a palette without images and get back to you.

I found your problem. You are not up to date. You must be running 4.5. Sorry I didn't catch this earlier. Do you not have your computer set to automatic updates?

it is set to auto update and in fact just updated recently... I just ran the updater again and nothing is popping up... logos still says 4.2.
If the manual update doesn't work for you, I would advise calling Logos during business hours. Your copy of Logos was released May 25th of last year. There have been 18 "stable" updates since!

My iPad still can't sync because I've a few huge highlighting files. My iPad won't even load the original highlight note files and created a copy instead (for e.g. Gerard is the original note file on the desktop, on the iPad it's just Gerard(2). The preset note files like Emphasis Markup, Highlighter Pens, Inductive, Solid Colors all become copies with '(2)' besides them.
My versions:
1. Logos 2.0.2
2. PC 4.5a SR-1
3. Original iPad with 32GB Wifi only.
4. iOS 5.0.1 then recently upgraded to iOS 5.1
Note: my iPhone 4S didn't have any problems from the beginning.

I'm still having a problem with the size of my font. I create a note on my laptop using the default font, size 11 and it gets translated to my iPad in two different size fonts. Half the note seems to be font size 11 and the rest seems to be twice that. It's very random, showing up in different places in different notes. The note files aren't very large, about 325 words.
Will the upcoming app release correct this?

I don't know if something has changed on the server - no new version on my iPad, but I've noticed "some" highlighting on my iPad just now. I have several highlight 'files' and I'm not sure if what showed up is from one of the large ones or not (is there an easy way to tell?). I also don't know when it they showed up. Have been to Genesis in a while, so they may have been there all along. But I've got some of the highlights that are from my Mac showing up on my iPad.... happy dance time!

The way that I would test this is to find an inconspicuous spot and create a highlight in L4, saving the note to the note file in question. Then you can open your Logos mobile app to that resource & location & see if it appears. NOTE: Make sure to kill the app first… often the app will not automatically sync when being turned off in its "hibernation" state.
