Maybe a Local Sync to Mobile for PBB?
What if Logos added a LOCAL sync to mobile device commend that did all of the work on your computer without going through the Logos servers? You attach your mobile device as a USB device and execute Sync Mobile. Then we could do it ourselves, not as convent but gets the job done, no server space problems for Logos, no copyright problems for Logos. [And no backup on the Cloud]

Yes, that is their statement. [And I had seen it] BUT something [from our point of view] is holding their plans up.

And Yes, having our PBB sync as does every thing else is the best fix.
The question here is: If their planed way will not be ready soon [if ever] will we accept a local, and yes limited, work a round so that we can read our PBBs in Logos Mobile? By letting them know that we would [or would not] accept a local option they can modify their plans as needed.

A local sync option would not be significantly less code for us to write. That is, while local sync may appear simple, it would actually take a lot of work to make it function correctly, so we're planning to spend that effort implementing the server-based solution instead.

Local sync option is the LAST choice. Only as a LAST resort when nothing else will get the job done.
Am I correctly understanding your statement "we're planning to spend that effort implementing the server-based solution" to mean that there are no known BLOCKING issues such as Server space and capacity; copyright restrictions; etc.?

I'm not sure I fully understand the question.
We have designed a solution and are currently implementing it. It will use our servers to sync compiled personal books between multiple desktop computers, or to mobile devices.
There will probably be restrictions in the Terms of Service for PBB sync; you may not be permitted to sync a 1GB "personal" book full of copyright-infringing or illegal material, for example. (I don't have the final details on what may or may not be allowed.)

If there is a Christian book not for sale on logos, but it is for sale as a book, and as a pdf, and someone bought both the book and the pdf and took the time to convert the pdf into a personal book, would that violate the terms of service?

I wonder too about books given to an individual by an author before publication, (and in some cases before editing) with only the express command that I shouldn't share them with other individuals... Those should be fine to sync when this comes out yes? Even IF logos eventually sells the same title (something I may purchase anyway for the linking).

Instead of the Sync to Mobile for the PBB. Why could Logos not just give us the PBB feature on our mobile device so that we could create any needed PBB on a tablet or other device?

Sorry for taking two years to reply.
But my GUESS is that they may have it working on A system but that they can not get it to work on other systems. [Define 'A system' as working on only one brand of mobile device - and then maybe not all updates to that OS]
My second GUESS is that if they have it working on some Android devices that that fix does not work on others. And one of the others it does not work on are the Amazon Kindle Fires. [Amazon has tweaked the Android operating system and so may have other brands and that causes Apps to not work on some Android systems]
The systems on our computers compile the DOCX files into something that the computers versions of Logos understand. Question to Faithlife: Is the file format on the computers the same file format used on mobile devices? If yes then the only code that you might need to write is code that will move Logos Resource files from our mobile Documents folder to the input folder of the mobile Logos App. Then execute already written code to input that file into the Apps Resources. [[Yes, it is not that easy]] Then we move the file to our mobile's Documents folder and Faithlife takes it from there.
