An interesting pre-publication bundle by an Adventist systematic theologian needs an extra push, so allow me to make a quick promo.

Hans K. LaRondelle was born and raised a Dutch Roman Catholic, earned a doctorate in systematic theology (1971) from the Free University of Amsterdam under G. C. Berkouwer, and taught for many years at the Adventist Theological Seminary at Andrews University, Michigan.
The books in this pre-pub include Christ our Salvation: What God Does for Us and in Us, a short but insightful book on soteriology from a Protestant-Armenian perspective. It argues against universalism, predestination and religous moralism/legalism, discusses the proper connection of baptism with santification (some food for thought there), and what the biblical view of "perfection" is (as LaRondelle sees it).
Deliverance in the Psalms: Messages of Hope for Today examines selections from the Psalter, with a dual emphasis on the spiritual and the eschatological messages in those psalms. I took at class from LaRondelle myself in my undergraduate days, and he lamented that ministers too seldom preach from the Psalter - because they themselves are not sufficiently spiritual. Only spiritual people enjoy the Psalms, he claimed.
How to Understand the End-Time Prophecies of the Bible: A Biblical-Contextual Approach is one of the best explanations of the book of Revelation from a Seventh-day Adventist perspective. I taught a graduate class in NT Eschatology this Summer (2013) and this was one of my textbooks (the other was N.T. Wright's Surprised by Hope). A student wrote in his book report: "Before reading this book I did not have a clear understanding of the prophecies of Revelation. This textbook has inspired me ... and has awakened in me a strong interest and passion for the study of the prophecies that I previously did not have."
Light for the Last Days is a more popular-level and thinner version of the book above on Revelation and his well-known "Israel and the Church", so this book includes a discussion of the controversial topic of the relationship between the OT and the NT, and between Israel and the Church (basically arguing against dispensationalism).
With a $26 pre-pub price, this is excellent value for money for anyone interested in soteriology, eschatology or biblical studies. Help us to get this bundle into production!

thanks for this! You persuaded this non-Adventist to put in a bid. From your write-up, this sounds like an interesting read - I'm especially interested in his "arguing against legalism" from an SDA perspective, the OT/NT relationship and how much of his exegesis lines up with other commentaries as opposed to rely on "E.G.W. wrote...."
That said - many forum regulars read everything that's new, but it seems others concentrate on "General" and the technical forums connected to their Logos usage. I'm not sure if a promo in the SDA corner will bring the extra push needed - probably all SDA-related users here have ordered it on the first day anyway. Just a thought.

Indeed, Mick, Reimar is not exaggerating when it comes to Hans LaRondelle and what a terrific evangelical theologian he was. We will be releasing in his Lifeworks vol. 2 a letter he wrote to the great Hans Kung, arguing the Protestant evangelical view of salvation and eschatology in a manner that was both logical and poignant.

To have a better influence would may be to request our conferences/missions to buy the base package for their pastors and then persuade the pastors to invest in such a book...

by the way can we know what books would be included in the second set of Larondelle's books?
Does it include? for example
"The Israel of God in Prophecy: Principles of Prophetic Interpretation;” or
“Perfection and Perfectionism a Dogmatic--ethical Study of Biblical Perfection and Phenomenal Perfectionism"
"Armageddon in Biblical Typological Perspective"
"Righteousness by faith: Seminary lectures in justification and sanctification by faith in Christ"
Actually, the last two titles are out of print

You are as Utopic as my first post in the old newsgroup when I requested that everything ever written in Religion and Theology be formatted for Logos (Libronix) back then.
We are almost at the finish line.
I like what Dallas Theological Seminary has done, in purchasing the software for their students, at no cost. Maybe IATS, may wish to consider getting the Adventist base package for their students.

Could we have the book Perfection & Perfectionism by Dr. LaRondelle. This was his PhD dissertation published by Andrews University Press in 1971.

You are not utopic at all, Edwin. One of my proposed base packages "SDA Church Life" will offer Gold for the pastor/s, a starter SDA package for all elders and SS teachers, and Proclaim church presentation software. With the support of pastors, I will propose to conferences that they facilitate a bulk sale so that churches (and their pastors) can get discounts from 15% to 30% (it would take a bulk sale of 100+ to seize that discount).
Moreover, I will propose that the conferences subsidize the whole bulk package by 10%. There may need to be a grassroots movement of requests from pastors to make that possible.
With this plan, pastors could still use their own equipment or continuing ed budget to buy extra bundles of SDA materials that we are preparing. Such as the Lifeworks of Hans LaRondelle (already under contract), Lifeworks of Doug Batchelor (nearing contract signing), Lifeworks of Mark Finley (being pursued), and others such as Randy Roberts.
Ultimately, my long-term goal is to have each church (or church district) package include a Lifeworks library of its present and past pastors' sermon notes, books and/or other documents.
Our motto: Dream big, counsel widely, work strategically, collaborate profusely. All things are possible through God and with what He has endowed the Logos ecosystem.

This is something that needs promoting. Maybe at the Division levels, so that the information can feed down to the Pastors. Most of my sermons are not in manuscript format. Will have to see how that can be changed.

Logos is very gradually getting into transcriptions of audio sermons. The process now is very expensive and can only be feasible in cases where 1) the person whose spoken message needs very little if any editing to be suitable in print and 2) where there is a reasonable expectation of sufficient sales to cover costs. That is more than most local pastors can generate in sales.
As time goes on, as with other technologies (e.g. OCR scanning in the 1990s) textual transcription of audio and audio/video will become much more viable. I'm thinking forward to that day, even if years from now.
