I know it's been suggested before, and Logos does already have a few of Packer's works, but I couldn't find a comprehensive list of them on any of the suggestions forums, and I'd like a product manager to take ownership of getting these, so I'm posting it here (Packer is an Anglican after all).

Already available in Logos:

Not yet in Logos (most important ones at the top; the rest listed alphabetically):

And not by him, but in honor of him:

I thought it was so important to have Knowing God in Logos that I made it a personal book. But I'd love to have an official version along with every word that man has penned.

He is also working on a Systematic Theology. If/When he finished that, I would love for that to be in Logos right away.

Knowing God has just turned 40. It's really important that Logos get the rights back for that!

Both Knowing God and Evangelism and the Sovereignty of God are important Packer books that are not in Logos, and they're both IVP books.  IVP sometimes seems like they don't want to sell their books in Logos.  They already have a relationship with Logos, yet classics like these stay missing.

It's not Knowing God but it's more Packer: https://www.logos.com/product/38047/crossway-j-i-packer-collection-upgrade

That's very nice, but no fair putting 7 books together in a collection, 3 of which are already available in Vyrso (and I own them) and making that the only way you can get the 4 new books. Normally we do not have to pay for books that get upgraded from Vyrso to Logos editions if we already own them. So this is a sneaky way of getting those of us who already own them to pay for the upgrades of those 3 books.

What if I want to buy just the 4 books that were not previously available? (Personally I couldn't care less about having the other ones upgraded to Logos editions. The Bible reference links work fine already in them as eBook editions.)

Especially when lots of people only bought those books this week as part of Vyrso's Christmas sale....

And Logos have always said you don't pay twice for a book...and two of the three are extracts from Growing in Christ so a lot of the work is already done for these two 'shorts'.  And for some users who already owned Growing in Christ, but picked up the bundle the vyrso bundle the other day because of other material in the bundle you will actually be charging them a third time for the same material!

I'm going to look into the issues of this a little bit further and get y'all some concrete answers.  However, I just wanted to respond to one issue:

this is a sneaky way of getting those of us who already own them to pay for the upgrades of those 3 book

I can assure you, as the person who worked on putting this collection together, that there was nothing sneaky about it.  I have been working off of a larger list of titles (located here) trying to get everything I can into Logos. In this case, I missed that 3 of these titles were already in Vyrso. I also didn't realize that Vyrso was going to put them on sale just a few days before I put them on pre-order.

I tried to be as open about this collection as I can.  When I realized that three of the books in the collection were actually extracts from a book we already had, I made sure that the product page reflected this so that people would know what was going on.

I'm sorry if I sound a little defensive, but I want to be clear that I will never try to "sneak" anything by you. I hope I haven't done anything in the past that makes it seem like I would.  If something seems this way, I would appreciate if the first response was assuming it was just a mistake or an oversight on my part rather than a deliberate attempt to circumvent our policy and get you to pay for the same book more than once.

I'm going to see what I can do about getting this collection broken up.  I'll post more as I find out more.

Thanks Ben, your efforts are greatly appreciated. The forums sometimes tempt people into being a little more liberal with their thoughts than they would be face to face. I am sure that many would agree with me that even in the cases where something inconsistent has happened with pricing of resources, Logos has always been true to their policy that customers only pay once, and if any doubt side with the customer. Cheers.

Not you personally, to the best of my knowledge, but Logos certainly has. Many times.

Take a look at the Baker Academic Early Church Collection (13 vols.), for example. Two or three of those books used to be in Vyrso, yet, as far as I know, there is no discount for those who already own them. When it was brought up here on the forums a year or so ago, there was either no answer, or a flat out refusal of a discount.

Or the Steve Ray Collection (2 vols.). One of the two books was recently included in one or more of the Verbum+ packages, yet no way has been added to buy the remaining one without paying a second time for the first. (I just e-mailed Andrew about this, so hopefully it'll change.)

And I have quite a few  books in my wishlist that I can't buy without paying twice, since there is no dynamic pricing.

So, sorry, but I for one has learnt to take Logos' "never pay twice" with at least a spoonful of salt.[:(]

I'm very sorry, Ben. I need to be more careful in my word choice. I was saying all that with a smile and a teasing tone of voice in my mind, but of course that doesn't come across in writing. Teasing is risky online even with the best of friends, and I don't really know you that well. So you couldn't possibly have known my lighthearted attitude and cheerful demeanor in posting that. I was not intending to slam you at all. So, many apologies for coming across that way.

It would be great if you can get this collection broken up. I do appreciate all the work you're doing in getting Packer's works, and am also sorry that when I posted my long list above I'd forgotten that you already had posted such a list and were already at work on it. My memory isn't that great these days.

EDIT: Also, to be quite honest, the price of $54.95 would be worth it to me even to just gain four more of his books. So if you can't split the collection up, I would still order it. But I did want to make sure that Logos's normal intention of offering the best possible price to those who already have some of the books in a collection gets a chance to be realized.

    'm very sorry, Ben.

No worries, Rosie! [:D] I totally get the tone-of-voice issue with the forms (and FB, Twitter, etc.), I'm often guilty of not being careful enough with my words.  I should probably have given YOU the benefit of the doubt that you were teasing!

It would be great if you can get this collection broken up.

I'm waiting to hear on a couple options we're thinking about to deal with this situation.  I'll post something here as soon as I know.

Fundamentalism and the Word of God is finally on pre-pub.

[Y] That was one of the first books of Packer's I read (after Knowing God). Good to see it in pre-pub.

You can save when you purchase this product as part of a collection.....

    Eerdmans Ultimate Collection 2... $26,110.99 $23,137.29

LOL! Think of it! Save $2 or 3 by spending $23,000+!

Reminds me of the cartoon strip Blondie, how she was always "saving" lots of money by going on shopping binges during sales.
