Moo Resource Problem
One of the supplemental resources for NT331 is Moo's Encountering the Book of Romans. I own this resource but for some reason Logos thinks I don't. When I click on the link for the readings I get a panel that says "You don't have a license to view this resource". Help!

I see the same thing here. I think the link is wrong; it should reference ENCBKROMANS not ENCBKROMANSMOO.

I wonder if Logos has changed the resource ID. When I look the book up on the product website Logos doesn't recognize that I own it.

I just joined the faithlife group for this course and someone there is already addressing the same problem.

I believe once Logos updated the Baker Encountering the Bible Collection to include an updated version of Encountering the New Testament... all the individual book files were also updated. As I understand it only the New Testament volume was updated in content.
Also, I'm curious; the latest Encountering Romans page notes that images are not included, but my volumes have images. Does anyone who has recently purchased any in this series have images?

If I would've known that Logos was gonna quote "Encountering the Book of Romans" which was on sale on Monday, I would've bought the book. BUT since the Video was delayed until Wednesday.. now I missed the sale DUE to the DELAY of shipment of Romans Mobile Ed.
That's a shame Logos..
The videos should've been released on time on Monday, so at least we know what books are going to be used/quoted in it.
gessh... haven't Logos learned??
PLEASE do tell us which books the instructor going to use or quote in the description, don't just say .."oh you need Platinum package" .. that's WEAK.

There must be some problem with the version of that resource that we generated the links from. I'll look into it tomorrow, and see if we can rebuild the resource using a different resource ID in those links.

I accidentally purchased this resource, and then realized that I already had it so now I have two copies of it in my library.
Am I able to return it, and if I do do I loose my original copy or not?

I think you're right. It looks like they changed the resource ids on all of the resources when they updated that collection. But the only resource that actually changed (from 2nd edition to 3rd edition) is the NT book. The two different resource ids for each of the OT and Romans resource seem to contain the same text, ie they have the same publication date and same ISBNs, etc.
So now there are two resource ids/files for both Romans and the OT book out there. It looks like each pair needs to be merged into one, but... which one? How many other resources have been published that refer to each of those different resource ids? Like NT331? They need to be updated as well.

Thanks for the feedback, Mike. We are working on a viable option to show what books will pair well with any given course—we'll keep you updated as we get closer to rolling out a solution.

You can most certainly call in to return it. 1-800-875-6467. They will return your most recent order and that resource will be relocked. You will keep your original copy. Sorry for the hassle!

There are indeed two versions of this resource. We are going to update the links in NT331 so that they will jump to both versions. The updated version of NT331 should be released early next week. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Can you tell us the nature of the differences between these apparently different versions?
Has an updated edition been released or is this something else ?

I notice this same problem from time to time on reading lists, the last one being where a Beveridge translation of Calvin's Institutes said I did not have the resource while I have it multiple times in different packages, but not the obscure one that the link was pointing to.

David--
The only thing that changed in the new version is a lack of images. The rest of the content is exactly the same. Without getting into too much detail, we were no longer allowed to sell the book with the images in it. This is an extremely unique scenario. I don't recall this every happening before.
I hope that is enough information for you. I do not intend to be cryptic but I don't want to leave you confused either.

Thanks Kyle: Understand.
To minimize future problems, can you see if there is a way for those of us who have the original to get the "buy" button on the current version greyed out so we minimize the number of people who inadvertently buy it again without images (already reported here once and likely happened a few dozen times in the recent sale....)

[Y] Good idea.

Did not happen yet so the button is still not greyed out in MM 2015 and this still negatively impacts the dynamic price on the larger Encountering the Bible collection.....

Hi Miles: We seem to have hit a similar problem again with the NT331MOO update of December 15. [:(]
