I just received the first set of Mobil Ed courses and am planning to work through the LAT course together with some of our staff. I need to know the total number of hours that MP takes on the LAT course in order to schedule our time. We are tentatively thinking of taking 2 hours a night for however many weeks may be necessary. Can someone give me a close estimate on how many hours we need to schedule for LAT?

Hi Rich, around 8 hours of video clips alone.  You may want to budget extra times for replay and discussions. You can see the times display for each video segment.

Thanks a ton Alex. I appreciate the suggestion to allow more time for replay and discussion. [Y]

Thanks Philana - That's what I needed. Alex said about 8 hours, but the "Video units" count is a good indicator. I'm thinking that with discussions each unit will probably take more than an hour anyway.

I had gone through this in the previous version for l4.  they are very similar.  if you are going through these with a class, the notes above is just the video content.  While other mobile ed courses have required reading and links etc, the LAT doesn't.  However when going through the videos it is my suggestion that you also take the time to actual perform the various points and go through your own examples based on that information.  I lead a class through that way, and it took a semesters worth of time (roughly), doing a class once a week for an hour and a half each class. (including giving homework assignments for library preparations)

Thank you so much for sharing your experience Brent. I knew that it was going to take significant time to do this training, but your experience is very helpful. I don't suppose that you would like to come to the Caribbean and train our faculty?
