What Adventist products do you want? (Tell me ASAP.)
Logos, you may know, has developed a unique system of indexing books that allows thousands of them to be searched at one time for highly nuanced results in relation to any scriptural reference or topic. It’s amazing, as many of you know. Now the door is wide open for us Adventists to get whatever resources we want into the stable of Logos products. My first priority is to arrange for Logos to connect with Adventist publishers to co-publish existing Adventist books (including out-of-print books) so you can have them in Logos’ searchable format.
On Monday morning (tomorrow) I’m supposed to turn in a wish list of your favorite books published by the Review & Herald. So help me out by telling me what you want. List the full title of the book and also the author’s name, if you have that. And if you can include a link to any website where that book is sold, it will ensure that I'l know the exact book you want. I’ll then take your most requested Adventist books and prioritize the list accordingly.

Just saw this
In early July Oxford University Press announced that it would publish a new biography of Ellen Gould Harmon White. In 18 chapters prepared by 20 authors Ellen Harmon White: American Prophet examines her ideas and the impact she has made on the Seventh-day Adventist church and American religion generally....
is it already published? or on the point to be published?
who wrote the book? how many articles will be in the book?
Somebody knows more about it?
Edwin I am not getting any hits on the Oxford University Press website. From the WWU website, it seems as if it was just announced that they would publish, with no date as yet.
I am writing the OUP and asking them to make it available in Logos. The more people that do this, the greater the chance that we will get it.

I would like to see all the Books in the Words of the Pioneers collection (APL) in Logos. That would be #1 for me. There is a lot of material and it is on the EG White Estate CD DVD now. I am sure the organizer of that material would want to get it into Logos. Fred Bischoff I think.

I do not remember if it was suggested before, but what about the Andrews University Seminary Dissertation Series. Here is the pdf file listing all of the books coming from the University Press.

Edwin and Lynden, Logos does have a relationship with Oxford University Press that applies to some of their publications. I asked our publisher relations department to try to get this for us. We will see if they are successful..

Yes, please get the Words of the Pioneers into Logos. [Other threads speak of the expense of Logos resources - take a 300 page file and prepare it as a tagged PBB with 1000 footnotes. - How much would you be willing to pay someone to do that for you? At minimum wage I have put $600 into this edit and have 75% more to do]

David your point is very well made. I have tagged works for my own personal use and know how long it takes me. If only the grumblers would try tagging something themselves they might not winge quite so much. After all, no one forces us to patronize Logos!
Your dedication is amazing, David. Actually, Logos has its own system of preparing books for digitizing and tagging, under a contract in an amazingly efficient and productive arrangement. I'm not directly involved in that process. My role is to bring in new resources and then help facilitate their marketing.
Has anyone mentioned the late Dr Edward Heppinstall's 3 books Our High Priest, Salvation Unlimited and The Man Who Is God? All pub by R & H but out of print.
Written on a relatively popular level I am not sure how they are regarded now. Any one any thoughts on these?
Lynden yesterday I just I downloaded the SDA Sabbath School Quarterly and converted it to MS Word and imported it into a Personal Book. It works great for looking up the texts and reading the Quarterly. I'll try it this week and see how I like it. So far so good. What do you use for an abbreviation for the SSQ? Something Like SSQ1306?
What about a Bible Studies Set like Seminars Unlimited, Storicles of Prophecy, or the Discovery Bible Studies set. We could then print them and share them instead of having to buy a whole set each time. Many people don't follow through to the end with a study series.

Felipe and John, thanks so much. This book was off my radar screen. But anything published by SBL from an Adventist deserves prime attention. I'll add it to my list.
Licensing is always a potential issue. I can't be specific because of delicate negotiations, but please pray with me that all the wonderful resources suggested in this forum and elsewhere can be co-licensed with the publisher for inclusion either in a base package or an add-on library bundle (for the sake of discounted resources for pastors as well as sales volume for publishers--win-win!). Logos does have excellent working relationships with publishers, and we need to see that expanded to completely cover our SDA market.
I'm working hard to be "worthy" of representing you all here at Logos. I feel the responsibility very deeply and appreciate your prayer support.

Dr. Weber, I would like to add another one. I have not gone through this entire thread so I don't know if this book has already been suggested. Anyhow, the book:
Altar Call By Dr. Roy Gane. I think Diadem is the publisher in Berrien Springs MI. Anyhow, great book and it needs to be on Logos. This book is tremendous in Sanctuary truth and for exegetical purposes, this man knows this subject very well and would great to have this work.

I knew he did wrote the NIV Application Commentary: Leviticus, Numbers. But I did not know that he wrote also for another commentary set
Yes he did write for that set as well. I asked him about it and he said it is a wonderful commentary set to have. I looked to see if you could purchase separately his portion but that is not an available option like the NIV set. I have it on my wish list just because of what he told me about it. Well the OT portion anyway, not sure I can afford the NT one.

- I also recall at one point somebody telling me about this one book, or perhaps a series of books, which is now out of print. It dealt with giving the contexts and backstories behind each of Sister White's letters/Testimonies to the Church. Does anybody recall anything of this sort?
Lastly, a lot of these suggestions, as well as a number of the ones which the brothers posted earlier have an official corresponding Spanish translation in print. Would it be possible to also somehow get our hands on those?

That's quite a good list, Christopher. I'm in fact working on a number of them already. It's a lengthy process of gaining licensing approvals, digitizing, tagging in the unique Logos ecosystem, product promotion preparation, etc. And it all starts with a list of suggestions, such as you have shared.
