Reformed Platinum $460 (dynamically for me)
Reformed Gold
Can Logos make a chart of what books are new to us? like the regular package base?
I wonder why Reformed Dogmatics (5 vols.) by Vos has no * on it in spite of it being in the category of Pre-ordered. Am I missing something?
Matthew Poole’s Commentary on the Holy Bible (3 vols.) * Classic Studies on the Scottish Church History (11 vols.) * Classic Studies on John Knox (15 vols.) * Select Works of Geerhardus Vos (14 vols.)* Thanks for pointing out these resources that are still in CP/Prepub. I had orders in for all of them, which totalled $315. And I just bought Platinum for $170! So I'm $145 better off, plus I'll hopefully have some additional resources to enjoy! That's got to be my best value purchase ever!

This is a good point, especially for our existing users. If you have bids or pre-orders on something in one of these new Base Packages, check with Sales to see if it's a better deal for you to just upgrade to one of the Reformed Base Packages instead. In some cases, you can get more content for a minimal cost, or you might even save money overall (as with Mark's case).
With all the reformed stuff that I have I was expecting a lower price, esp. when a major commentary like the NAC is missing. For a Reformed dude, this guy would of liked to see more modern commentaries or a lower price.
The first few volumes of this resource have already shipped, and the rest will follow as they are translated. But you're right, it could probably stand to have some sort of indicator as to its status on the Base Package product pages.
By the way I am not convinced that it was a good idea to remove NAC. That's an excellent set that adds real value to reformed users. BDAG is a major loss, too, as is Louw-Nida and the Themelios journals. I agree Mark, especially about NAC. It means there aren't any modern expository commentaries in the packages (I don't really count the exegetical summaries as full commentaries). And I believe Reformed people still use lexicons. Themelios is a reformed publication too, so it's weird it was removed. I guess they had to meet a price point, so some good things got eliminated.

Long story-short, we had a number of different considerations when building these, and so certain compromises were made. Christian worked really hard, for example, to get Bavinck and Muller in Gold and Platinum respectively, and that came with some concessions in other areas.
These are for studying the scriptures alongside Reformed theology first-and-foremost, and some of the other material in the primary Logos base packages had to be removed to make room for other resources, unfortunately. We do appreciate your feedback, however, and will be taking notes as we continue to refine these for the future!
Hi Gabe,
Would it be possible for you to tell us how much each level would be if it was bought with dynamic pricing with the standard base package. In other words, "If I owned Starter, how much more would Reformed Starter cost?". "If I owned Platinum, how much more would Reformed Platinum cost?".
Standard Gold + Reformed Gold might be a much better fit for many people than Standard Platinum, for example, and might be at a similar price point.
It's impossible for us to work out dynamic pricing, but if you can do that quickly, it would help us as we give buying advice to others.
Mark
Remember the spreadsheet that was put out around the release of L5 that compared base packages across time? I can't seem to access the original one on google docs, but I have a local copy saved, and I'm updating it to include the new reformed base packages Hope to have platinum done in the next hour or two... the rest will come in the next couple days.

Hi Ken,
It's still up and linked from the wiki. The link is: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AhAl790TopkhdHNsTnRLY1A2RU9OY3pDNHdqTHVpQ3c#gid=20
Comparison charts are crucial though, as I'm sure you're aware. A customised comparison chart is obviously important (i.e. show me what's new to me), but also a comparison chart with the standard base packages, so you a new purchaser could see what they would miss out on.
This is critical for me too. It would take far to long to manually figure out what I own and what I don't own.
I've put together a short post highlighting the main details for these new Base Packages here.
Christian (who worked overnight to ensure things launched properly!) and myself will do our best to respond to your questions and feedback here. Some things we simply can't comment on publicly, but feel free to reach out to us via email or to Sales if you have pressing questions on upgrade costs, new resources, and so forth.
Thanks for your patience as we work out the kinks.
It looks to me like adding Standard Silver to whatever Reformed base package you pick might get the NAC commentaries for pretty cheap. (But that is just a guess.)
The resources still in production which we are expediting are: Matthew Poole’s Commentary on the Holy Bible (3 vols.) * Classic Studies on the Scottish Church History (11 vols.) * Classic Studies on John Knox (15 vols.) * Select Works of Geerhardus Vos (14 vols.)* You forgot one. The Works of Charles Hodge It is now a Pre-Pub. I will be happy to cancel it when I buy the Reformed Platinum package.

It is now a Pre-Pub. I will be happy to cancel it when I buy the Reformed Platinum package.
You have also missed the unmarked prepub in the package of:
J. N. D. Kelly’s Early Christian Doctrines and Creeds
My package cost $120 and for that I can cancel prepubs and community bids of $434 and have acquired new volumes with a list cost of $248.
What does confuse me is that:
The six volumes of The Works of John Knox has appeared in my library, is this new or has it been around for a while?
This has been around for years - predating even the prepub program, I think.
I purchased the Reformed Platinum which includes the Crossway Classical/Classic Commentaries (26 vols). But my remaining commentary on Galatians did not download and is showing as still needing to purchased.
Stephen McCracken, thanks for pointing that out. I will look into it right away.
Thanks, website shows it now purchased. Ipad has it available but for some reason desktop hasn't. I have closed down and restarted L5 desktop but still not Galatians commentary.
any ideas?

Westminster Confession of Faith, including the Larger and Shorter Catechisms (3 vols.) is still a prepub also.
Why does the Exegetical Summaries Series only contain 24 volumes in the Reformed packages, when there are currently 27 volumes available?

The Westmister confession included in the package is https://www.logos.com/product/410/westminster-confession-of-faith-including-the-larger-and-shorter-catechisms-american-revision which is not a prepub, the edition you link on prepub is not included in the package.
That is a different resource. The one included in the Reformed BPs is this one.

Oh sorry. I thought I compared the titles and they were the same, but I was certainly confused.
We really really really need the Geneva Bible for this collection.

This downloads today when you buy the Base Package, but the ones marked with an * do not, as they are still in production. Once those who pre-ordered are notified of their option to cancel and upgrade to a Base Package, it will ship to those who pre-ordered that work by itself.
The academic discount should be working. If you have any trouble with your purchase, customer service will be more than happy to help you out. Let me know if this is still a problem for you and I will personally look into it. does the price I reflected online already with the academic discount or do I have to call CS to get it adjusted? Because normally a "package" doesn't reflect with the academic. it seems to me the price is still a bit high for the resources I already own..

Hey, I was told you connected with customer service on this. I checked with them too and you've been good to go with your academic discount. Call if you have any other issues.
Christian/Gabe,
I'm not able to cancel my pre-pub of this, because it's not showing on my PrePub order page.
So does that mean academic pricing does apply and I need to call Sales to do it, or does that mean the price shown online already takes academic pricing into account? I am getting mixed messages from Customer Service on this.
Mark, from your massive library... how much additional resources did you gain? and what was your dynamic $?
I've been able to download my purchase now. I have only gained 48 volumes so far, but there are obviously several volumes still to come — I think about 70 for me, as I already have some of Hodge.
As I mentioned before my upgrade price was $170, but I've been able to cancel $450 worth of pre-pubs/CP (I said $315 before, but I missed some). I've also knocked two items of my wishlist (the works of Knox at $100 and the Samuel Rutherford collection at $150). Admittedly those items were overpriced (which is why they were still on my wishlist!), but nonetheless, 120 volumes for $170, when I was already prepared to pay $450 for just 70 of those volumes is just a fabulous deal.
I notice "The Works of Philo" are listed twice; once under Ancient Texts and Morphologies and then again under ancient texts in translation... Are these two seperate resources? If not can we pick one spot for them and just include that the title has the translation with it? Just noticed thats how its always been done... Must be two separate resources.Update on the Spreadsheet: ALL reformed packages have been added to the reform page, and also The "Ancient Texts and Morphologies" section has been updated with the data from ALL the new base packages.

Can you give CS or Sales a call to have them remove this, or I can look into it for you?
Yes, we have academic pricing on each of the new Reformed base packages, just as with our mainstream Logos base packages. Sales should be able to take care of that for you, if you're part of our academic discount program.
Christian (who worked overnight to ensure things launched properly!) and myself will do our best to respond to your questions and feedback here.
Thanks Christian, Gabe and anyone else who worked on this - it really is an exciting package. I will definitely be recommending the Platinum Reformed base package to anyone looking to get into Bible software (and if they're not thinking about it, this is a very good reason why they should be!).
link for PLATINUM is broken.
Yeah, it's a server issue. You guys are burning through the wires with downloads! but seriously, we are aware of the issue and will fix it shortly.
I have already called Customer Service on this but am going to post it here as a request as well. I have many of the pre-pub/community pricing resources in my order tab which were included in the platinum bundle. I need a list of those so that I know which orders to go through my order list for and cancel. If anyone has a list of these then please let me know as well. Thank you.
Look for "*" in the list of titles.
Forget about Carson and Wright for now, these Reformed Base Packages trump March Madness!...

this should be included in Platinum.

I hope the reformed manager can work on this..
hey gabe,
I'm having problem talking to CS to get my academic price discount..
can you help me? I'm getting frustrated..
as far as I know to get Academic Pricing..you gotta call CS to get it, but they wont give it.. What's going on here?
Same here - I am getting conflicting answers about the actual price of the Reformed Platinum base package. At first, I was told I had to pay full price (after dynamic pricing kicked in) and there was no discount. When I pressed further, I was told the current 15% discount did not apply, but then got an email that it would apply. I continued to ask about academic pricing, whether it is factored in or not. I have been told that the dynamic price minus the 15% is the lowest available (still no mention if academic pricing kicks in). I am fine with paying the correct price - I just don't know what it is (and apparently neither do some of the sales reps).
this should be included in Platinum. reformed commentary I hope the reformed manager can work on this..
Thanks for the suggestion. Yeah, that and several others were definitely on our wish list. The package we've delivered is the best available of it's kind, and we will continue to work to make it better.

I was told the following about this set compared to the Prepub. -
"The Reformed Platinum is adding six of Hodge’s resources, the prepub has 29 volumes."
We need to make sure we are comparing correctly.

Thanks, Bruce. But I think we may need further clarification if that's true. The Reformed Platinum page lists it exactly as above, "The Works of Charles Hodge (29 vos.) *", explicitly stating 29 volumes.
Reformed Platinum will include the full 29 volumes of The Works of Charles Hodge. I believe as of now, a handful of volumes download automatically, while the rest are still in production.

Well, I'm just passing on what the rep told me today. Now he was already incorrect about the 15% discount so he could easily be incorrect about this too.
To Gabe Martini & Michael Locatell,
How can I apply my academic discount? Because I have portfolio + other bundles and resources ..and the price still a bit high.
I called CS couple times the other day, and they don't know anything about academic discount on the reformed bundle. Can you help me please?

Same here - Sales seems to know little about whether the academic discount applies. I would have already bought it if this question could be answered.
