Is is possible to create your own cross-references?

I have often thought that this would be extremely helpful, but I can't find it anywhere. am I correct to assume that the only way would be within a Note for a particular verse to write the cross reference - allowing logos to make it a hyperlink? I am thinking that anything more accessible might interfere with copywrite issues with the various translations, but it sure would be helpful if anyone knew of a way. Thanks

Note files are the only way I know how to do it.

Community Notes would be the second way - thus they can be "crowdsourced" such as some in group Typos. But putting links into these is somewhat cumbersome.

When Logos made highlights into notes (unneccesarily as most believed then and many still do now) there would have been an ideal point to generate links as another note-type - too bad it didn't happen. A third one would be tags - it's all in the concept, but not (yet?) in the software.

Thanks. Related question. Do you know of a way in which I could have specific links within a note to designate the exact resource to open? Example would be having a note to a NT verse that links to a verse in the Neofiti Targum of Deuteronomy. Thanks for the time.

You can create a Personal Book of type Bible Cross-Reference Index. I've dabbled in it as an experiment, trying to create a sample of the NIV Study Bible cross-references. It works, to a degree:

But it appears that for now the only way you can use it is link it to scroll along with your Bible. Logos doesn't pick up PBs in the Cross References section of Passage Guides. I think I was going to report this as a bug back in December, but cannot find any post where I followed through on that intention.

(Note that the reference "Rev 16:1" above is a spurious one that I added to test whether this was working or not. It's not an actual cross-reference for Gen 1:1.)

Within a note, this would be the usual logosres-link. When you have your Targum resource opened at this verse, open the resource menu from the picture tile and select copy as URL, then you can paste into the note. The result might look like this

logosres:nlt;ref=BibleNLT.1Co3.18;off=2;ctx=are_that_temple._$0A18~$C2$A0Stop_deceiving_your

If you like it to look nicer, you may cut away the ctx.... stuff: logosres:nlt;ref=BibleNLT.1Co3.18;off=2;

or type any text and put the link into the chain (much like the forum editor here)
