Learn to Use Greek/Hebrew
As an owner of both the Logos Mobile Ed and Learn to Use Greek and Learn to Use Hebrew, I'm offering my hope/suggestion.
First, these are great resources for lay leaders who want to go deaper. My whole purpose in getting them is to help my up and coming preacher types to get a jump on future seminary training.
I'd love to see the Learn to Use series put into the Mobile Ed package with an update to the latest version. I'd be happy to pay an upgrade fee, but as an owner of the older version that's now somewhat out of date, I hope I would not have to pay the full price.

The one thing that makes me wonder they will not do this is that owners of the Morris P. course were not offered an upgrade.

Regrettably true about the Proctor course, but that may be less under Logos' control than these Hebrew and Greek tutorials. At least that is my hope.

Some files on the original DVDs were incorrect, a download fixed the problem. I am sure if you purchased it now the DVDs would OK.

Before you purchase you might want to consider that the instruction is based on Logos version 4. Not that you could not learn a from them, but you might want to wait.

I would hold off since some of the instruction actually is not helpful for Logos 5 as the underlying morphology used by Logos, Hebrew I think, was changed and so what is shown in the videos, you will not be able to reproduce in Logos 5. This is a tool crying out to be updated and brought into the Logos Mobile Ed world - the problem is what to do with those of us who own the original product, some will expect to be upgraded for free, some will settle for a significantly discounted price available only to those who owned the previous version. I'd b happy if it was put on community pricing and went for a steal for $40 I wouldn't mind paying to upgrade from the old version and be happy for those who didn't have the old version to get it for $40.

Other resources are updated free, if errors are found. Many Logos resources were updated to newer versions (think Libronix resources update tot Logos4) for license holders. It is a very expensive product, which is (according to some posters) not really helpful anymore because of the changes to Logos 5. Must I now revert back to Logos 4 to be able to use a product that was this expensive?

The difficulty here is it is not a case of an error in the product and neither are we talking about a resource file requiring an update. It is a training video that is no longer relevant due to changes in the software. I'd be happy with a free upgrade to a new version of the training software but do not expect it. There was never a guarantee given the training material would not become outdated.

Hopefully, the updated version expected for Logos 5 will accommodate Logos 6 if a new version of Logos is released in 2015.

Which is kind of my point. I never worked through my copy of Learn to Use Greek/Hebrew when I bought it. It was on my bucket list for the future, after I completed my current studies (which, if all works out will be next year). Now I am sitting with a product I never got to use , and which I never will be able to use in full. OK, it could be argued that it is my fault, but when I bought the product I was not under the impression that there is a "time limit" on the product. If I knew it would be the case I would either never paid $162 for it, or made a point to use it sooner.Hopefully, the updated version expected for Logos 5 will accommodate Logos 6 if a new version of Logos is released in 2015.
Anyway, my ramblings is not of a disgruntled user. Rather it is the ramblings of a disappointed user; hoping that Logos will consider offering me a free upgrade when they update it for Logos 5 usage.

I understand your disappointment and I hope Logos exceed my expectations on this one. The product is not completely unusable with Logos 5, there are just some instances where what you are shown for Hebrew won't work in Logos 5 due to the changes under the hood.
Changes in software like Logos are the one thing we can be certain of as they look to improve performance and provide avenues for users to dig deeper into the data. What I do find very disappointing is Logos is still selling this outdated product for $499.95 and there is no mention on the web page of the potential pitfalls of the changes which make some of the Hebrew videos included not relevant to Logos 5. It's a case of purchaser beware because the seller is omitting important facts.

And in that, I am more disappointed with Logos than anything I have experienced in the last 15 years. Overall, I feel that marketing is the weak link in the Logos chain.
