There is a quiz at the end of unit 1, but it is not coming up. It states that it is not available. Do you all know when it will be available?

I pre-ordered this on 10/10 and my order page says it will not ship until 11/17. The link you provided seems to indicate it is ready now???

Fredc - Kenneth is correct, we also talked a bit about the status of BI100 in this thread: https://community.logos.com/forums/t/94107.aspx
Phelix - the quizzes are all available. If you continue to have issues, you may want to call into customer support: 1-800-875-6467

What platform are you trying to open the quiz on? Our mobile apps currently don't support the self-test feature of Logos, so they will only work in the Logos desktop software.

Got it. Thanks for the quick reply (Kenneth and Celeste)

Thank, I was trying to open the quiz on my iPad.

I just purchased this to evaluate the content - not sure I will keep this.
One thing I noticed immediately are the audio levels - when Dr. Bock speaks, the audio master level is very low (too low I think). When Logos speaks, it is at the right mastered level, but much louder than Dr. Bock's sessions. I keep changing my speaker levels as a result. Is this a recording bug?
This occurs on both my Windows 7 and Mac OS 10.10 computers.

David, I've reviewed several of these lessons in the app and it does look like there are discrepancies in the audio levels between the screencasts and Dr. Bock's lecture material. I will have our team look into this first thing Monday morning. We will try to correct it as soon as possible and update the resource.
Thank you for alerting us to this problem. I hope that apart from this error you can still find this course useful and valuable to your study.

I have a concern with the course. It is recommended to have a platinum package for the course, but when I look tthrough the course I am going to have to purchase some books for the course. Why is this?

All the "required reading" resources should be in the Platinum package. You may not have some of the "see also" resources.

I have L5 Platinum and several of the required readings are not unlocked (especially the How to Study the Bible resource)

I'm coming in to this thread late, and do not have this resource. Do you have L5 Platinum or L6 Platinum? This will most likely make a difference, and if you have L5, it is probably the reason you don't have the resources required.

Even in the required reading there are some that are locked. I have L6 Platinum and I have already purchased 2 books and it looks like I will have to purchase more. This is misleading, because I assume with platinum I would not have to purchase anymore books.
0 -
Can you list the required books that are not in the Platinum so the problem can be straightened out?
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

The only one that is not unlocked in the required reading is Evangelical Dictionary of Theology, 2nd edition.

Got this resource free with my upgrade purchase- but even with the Collectors, and the Reformed bundle, making my library close to 13,000 volumes, I had 4 books missing to use the resource 100%.
It would cost me an additional $150 for the 4 missing resources, that's assuming I did not call my Rep- to get better pricing, but considering they are all Baker products doubt very seriously it will be a very good discount.
Platinum L6 does not give you what you need to view this product.
Whats missing for me:
A Handbook of New Testament Exegesis by Blomberg, Craig
Inductive Bible Study: A Comprehensive Guide to the Practice of Hermeneutics
by Bauer, David R., Traina, Robert A.
Evangelical Dictionary of Theology (EDT), 2nd ed. by Elwell, Walter A.
Reading the Gospels Wisely: A Narrative and Theological Introduction by Pennington, Jonathan T.

I do not have the course yet. Can you help me understand what the impact is of this issue. Does he refer to these and leave you feeling like you really must read the resource or a part of it in order to learn and continue on? Is it more like he quotes the resource but leaves you wishing for more to read on it? Is it just a casual reference that completist will insist on having but really would not need?
I ask because I am trying hard to justify adding enough to get to $1000 so I can get the course. I certainly am not likely to have a good number of resources and will not be able to afford to add them. If references to these are too invasive then I will have to skip it.

I liken the required readings and the see also readings for the course this way.
in a seminary or college course on this subject, the required readings would be what you need to do for a grade or a test , the see also would be to gain additional knowledge on the subject, but you will not be tested over it.
You can still gain knowledge just from the lectures Without doing the readings. The readings just add flesh to the bones of the skeleton.

But so far I have found that the "also read" articles add a lot of flesh to the bones, and are very useful resources in their own right.

Adding more flesh to the bones is also a good thing.

The reading links are meant to supplement the lecture. Despite the label of "Required Reading" none of them are actually "required" (we are changing this label to "Suggested Reading" in future courses). Our editors go through the material and carefully select readings that best compliment the speakers' presentations. For the "Required Readings" we limit ourselves to using resources from the Platinum Collection so that users can have a baseline of resources they know will be utilized across all courses. For the "See Also" readings we try to link to the most useful resources that may or may not be included in the Platinum collection. We also provide links to different guides and tools (like the Passage Guide or Topic Guide) that will only draw from resources that are in your library.
Our goal with these reading links is to provide you with relevant readings that will enhance the course, further your learning, and help you make better use of your Logos library. Since the Mobile Ed. courses are self-directed you can decide how much you make use of them (same goes for the quizzes). You can choose to just watch the lectures straight through without doing any additional reading, you can read through all the reading links, or you can dig deeper only on certain topics or segments.

The audio levels are generally on lower end in the MobileEd courses that I have bought, but this course is particularly difficult to use without either good headphones or a power amplifier. If there is the slightest noise in the room I am nearly unable to discern what Bock is saying, using the highest volume setting on either my laptop or tablet. This is a considerable problem for me since I do not live in a completely noise free home.Josh Burdick said:David, I've reviewed several of these lessons in the app and it does look like there are discrepancies in the audio levels between the screencasts and Dr. Bock's lecture material.
