Someone has mentioned if Logos plans to offers a degree with the Mobile Ed course. I talked to a sales rep and said it not in the works. I was wondering of the Mobile Ed users how many would be interested in a non accredited degree for the Mobile ed courses? Just trying to gauge if there is a possible desire for a unaccredited degree for people taking the mobile ed courses.

what would be the advantage of an unaccredited degree over some form of certificate of completion? Have you looked at Coursera to see the sorts of steps that are becoming standard for certificates?

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

I think Logos Mobile Ed has the potential to completely change the game for distance education. I think with a couple more added evaluation methods it can be a very effective for ovf evaluations. So back to your question why unaccredited vs certificate? Well many denominations do not require an accredited seminary degree, with the exception of the few RCA, CRC, PCUSA. But others the language is an approved seminary such as the PCA, EPC, and pretty much all baptist denoms. Once again the degree is only as good as the institution or the quality of student that institution is producing.

The value is for those (like me) who have no Bible degree, but would like to certify that they have at least reached some type of (Biblical Studies, Ministerial Studies, etc.) educational milestone. For those who happen to have paid the $$ for the Mobile Ed courses, it makes sense to offer a course completion certificate for the taking of an online test... or something like that. Once the whole batch of coursework is done, you submit to a final test, and you've got a Logos Mobile Ed Certificate.

We actually already offer certificates of completion for our programs of study.  We are looking to publicize this more in the build up to this year’s summer session.  You can read a brief description about what is involved with these in the first entry on this page https://www.logos.com/mobile-ed/faq
