It does look interesting. Thanks. I've been teaching myself some Latin over the last while so it can't be too simple for me. [:)]

not sure how to mark the latin text as latin language - if anyone knows please let me know - I have a macro set up ready to run

simple search & replace will get most of it done (replace format bold text by format language Latin), but will not do the footnotes.

manually for selected text:

Review tab - select language - Latin (make sure automatically detect language is not set, as Word seems to mix this up in such a bilangual text)

(Sorry this is Word 2007 in German - your version might look slightly different)
