NEW: LA251 Introducing Hebrew Grammar
Our newest pre-pub is LA251 Introducing Hebrew Grammar, a traditional Hebrew course taught by Dr. Mark Futato:
Gain insight into Hebrew Grammar, and learn all of the sounds and symbols of the alphabet—both the consonants and the vowels. Explore the forms of the noun, the the adjective, and the verb in all its conjugations of the basic patterns. Discover how these words work together to form phrases, clauses, and sentences. As you deepen your knowledge of how Hebrew works, you will practice reading Hebrew text from the Hebrew Bible.

I think this course is covering Hebrew whereas the discourse videos covered greek? Also this is not teaching discourse analysis but standard Hebrew grammar. If you compare this video series to Futato's Beginning Biblical Hebrew I'm guessing you will have an idea of the content. i.e. from the video clip it looks as if this course is designed to help you to start being able to read hebrew at a basic level.
גַּם־חֹשֶׁךְ֮ לֹֽא־יַחְשִׁ֪יךְ מִ֫מֶּ֥ךָ וְ֭לַיְלָה כַּיּ֣וֹם יָאִ֑יר כַּ֝חֲשֵׁיכָ֗ה כָּאוֹרָֽה
We're working on finalizing the course now. Editing for the videos (on screen text, slides, etc.) has taken longer than anticipated, but we should finishing the course soon. We will probably be able to release it in November.Thank you, not only for the update, but for everyone's hard work to produce these courses. I imagine there's a great deal involved with production which most of us don't realize, but we are grateful to everyone involved behind the scenes.
I would rather see everyone take the time needed to produce a quality product, than have things slip through the cracks, which are more difficult to fix after a course has been released. (One general example would be syllabi/reading lists which refer to older resources which an instructor had access to, yet are no longer sold on the store.)
Thanks to FL for including Carta and a Hebrew audio bible in Logos 9!
Any news on a release date?
Estimated ship date for LA251 is ~12/6/2016.

I see that the vocabulary and readings are posted at the LA251 group. Thanks, Miles!
Any chance of also getting the LA251_Resources_Linked spreadsheet posted, so we can easily see which resources are used, while two sales are underway?

Miles,
How valuable is this resource, if one has the Miles VanPelt Hebrew Course by Zondervan?
I'm not very familiar with Van Pelt's course, but just glancing at it it looks like the individual video segments are longer (30 minutes to an hour). Futato's LA251 has shorter videos (5 to 10 minutes). The two courses are similar in length, but Van Pelt's is divided into 36 lessons, while Futato's is 127 segments split across 21 units.
Keeping each segment shorter and more focused should help make it easier and less overwhelming to learn. It also makes it easier to review and revisit segments. The full transcript also makes it easier to review and follow along with Dr. Futato's teaching.
Each unit of LA251 has segments where Dr. Futato reviews vocabulary, practices what he just taught, and reads through the Hebrew Bible. LA251 includes quizzes and activities that will help you make sure you are learning the concepts and vocabulary. While I can't give you a detailed comparison without watching through more of Van Pelt's course, I can tell you that Futato's Mobile Ed Hebrew course is a very valuable and interactive resource for anyone who wants to learn Hebrew.
Thanks for that comparison, Miles!
For anyone who wants more information about this course, I'd point you to Miles' LogosTalk blog entry about LA251.
There are only a few days left to get this pre-pub course at 40% off, before it ships on the 6th.

LA251 should ship later today. Been watching and waiting myself.
There are a number of pre-pubs which haven't shipped yet, but their product pages already switched from pre-pub order to live purchases. A bit unfortunate for anyone who wanted to get in at the lower price before they shipped.
It's probably difficult to coordinate releases with different departments, such as the online store and production, but the best indication, as you're probably aware, is getting billed for the course, and the order disappearing from the open pre-pub list.

I downloaded LA251 Introducing Hebrew Grammar today. I am able to use it on my Mac, but it did not download to my iPad. I cleared the memory on the iPad and also restarted it, but still nothing.
The product page mentions, "This product is temporarily unavailable on mobile." Sorry!

Cannot access on my mobile phone.
The course is temporarily unavailable on mobile, per the product page.
If someone only used Logos on mobile, and was billed for a course they were unable to use yet, they could make the suggestion to FL that courses not ship until they are available for all platforms.
