NEW: NT156 Understanding Easter: The Significance of the Resurrection
Our newest pre-pub is NT156 Understanding Easter: The Significance of the Resurrection:
This course of insightful instruction on Jesus’ death and resurrection is presented by a cohort of respected Christian theologians, including Elyse Fitzpatrick, Douglas J. Moo, Ben Witherington, Darrell L. Bock, and Michael W. Goheen. Because these scholars literally wrote many contemporary studies on this singular historical event and its significance for the Christian, students are able to gain the clearest insight. Pastors are able to find new perspectives on texts that are perennially used as sources from which to discuss Jesus’ sacrifice and defeat of sin, both on the cross and in rising from the tomb.

This looks interesting. Is there any chance it will ship this year?

I'm pleased to announce that people who order this course will receive a couple additional resources. First, we are using this course to announce Mobile Ed's new Activities resources. From the product page:
NT156 will come with a separate Activities resource. Its main function is to house active learning components of the course. Here you’ll find Guides and Tools sections with enhanced contextualization and opportunities to reflect on your exploration, challenges designed to help you learn how to use Logos better, including video tutorials and links to learning resources, and reflection questions designed to help you engage with course ideas in greater depth. Links to the course Faithlife group give you a place to engage with others studying the same course.
Second, the course also comes with Meditations on the Life of Christ—10 video devotionals from Mobile Ed speakers:
Meditations on the Life of Christ is a devotional resource with contributions from top biblical and theological scholars. Each segment begins with a Scripture passage read aloud, followed by a meditation. Drawn from both Old and New Testaments, each passage has been chosen to focus on a major event in Christ’s life, moving chronologically through his incarnation, birth, baptism and revelation, temptation and suffering, triumphal entry, the Last Supper, crucifixion, resurrection, ascension, and the coming of his Spirit. Accordingly, the collection is keyed to church seasons and holy days, starting with Advent, moving through Christmas, Epiphany, Lent, Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday (celebrating the Last Supper), Good Friday, Easter, Ascension, and Pentecost.
The course with the Activities resource ships tomorrow. The Meditations resource will be available on 3/16.

That is nice.

This adds to the situations where I wish that Logos would provide a metadata field connecting the various parts of the course so we can see that it is a single whole. We need the same for books that are divided into multiple piece because of differing languages or resource types.
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

Miles,
I am looking forward to this course and the additional material. I do have a question though. The only mobile Ed course from these listed that I don't have is NT305. When I ordered it gave me a dynamic price, but I am not sure how that is calculatedly? Can you confirm it the dynamic price I received is the correct one?
thanks.

I don't think dynamic pricing applies for this course. From what I can tell you currently have pre-ordered it for the normal pre-pub price listed on the product page.

I'm not sure why it's telling you what your "dynamic price" is, but that notification is likely an error. $39.99 is the full pre-pub price for this course.

Miles,
Is this mobile ready (IOS)?

Yes. Sometimes it takes a up to a day or so before a published resource shows up on mobile.

Hi.
I have just watched the introduction ... mentally said 'OK' to myself, thinking about the course and content ... and before I could draw breath ... another video was playing!!!
Has this resource been linked correctly?
Or is this a new 'feature' ? I cannot seem to turn it of either in the resource's panel or the main settings of the application. How do I stop this from happening if it is (improbably) a design decision. (Improbably : All content needs a pause for thought, All content has further reading to be consumed, Most of the time I can play a video without help!)

I'm having the same thing happening now on other courses. I resolve it by hitting the "pause" button.

Miles - I just ordered and downloaded NT156 in large part because I am excited about the new Activities Resource and I wanted to experiment with it. Will Logos ME now retrofit the previous ME courses with this new format? I have several ME courses and it would be a huge blessing to have this innovative upgrade applied to those courses.

We will be updating our older courses and adding Activities resources to them. With over 100 courses already released, however, it will take us a while to get through them all. I'm glad you're excited about this new feature, and I hope you enjoy it!

I do understand about the time element involved in reconfiguring over 100 courses, but I am so happy to see that Logos is going to chip away at it. Thanks for the great news and quick answer. [:)]

Miles, will the current system of note-taking still be retained in the FL documents for each MobileEd also? I really like that system and from what I've seen so far in the Activities app doesn't seem quite as robust as the note files worksheet...I could be wrong. However, I would like to see both systems (if that can be arranged).

We'll continue to share notes files of the readings if that's what you mean.

Just purchased this and excited to try going through it with my family. Do you know if it will be accessible on the AppleTV app courses section?
