So I have to rent for 3 months first to buy at a discount? Is this discount big enough to warrant this route over an outright purchase? Can I purchase a course form the Mobile Ed Subscription?

I own 51 Mobile Ed courses already. What happens if the rental model is only currently offering courses I already own? I am well convinced that these courses are worth $50 a month. If I know the upcoming courses are ones I own can I withdraw from the plan for the month? Is the Mobile Ed Subscription plan dynamically priced?

I wish this had been an option from the beginning. I am happy to see it now.

I like the interface of the Timeline Reference Tool, and it would fit the subscription calendar nicely. Can you create a special server side instance, throw in the module subscription names & dates into the Timeline DB and give the output through the webserver? I haven't looked to see if Timeline is using Chromium the same way the homepage is, but if so, hopefully that would be a relatively easy project.
This looks like a good plan. It would be nice to know what's coming up, but I'm glad that the website explains which courses are available for the present month. For those who didn't click through, this is the March offering:
So long as the next month is published before the subscription renewal would be taken, then I would be happy.
This is my personal Faithlife account. On 1 March 2022, I started working for Faithlife, and have a new 'official' user account. Posts on this account shouldn't be taken as official Faithlife views!
As much as I dislike subscriptions, this one deserves attention. I am going to be watching carefully. At $499.99/year (which is probably a great deal) I would still want to choose my own courses and not want someone else deciding what few courses would be available to me. If we knew ahead what was coming, a whole year might be well worthwhile. $49.99/mo isn't bad either if the courses are ones I would select. I would probably go the monthly route.
I am liking this idea.
Edit: Seeing the list above from Mark, that would certainly be worth subscribing to get.
I think it would be helpful to have a posted calendar that shows the active and future life of the modules on one page.
We will be sending an email 2 weeks prior to the end of the month to all subscribers detailing the new course offerings for the next month. The same list of new course offerings will be posted on the PDP page 2 weeks in advance so everyone will know what course are coming up in the next month and what courses are expiring from the subscription plan.
The Mobile Ed Subscription plan costs $49.99 per month/$499.99 per year.Is it set up so we can subscribe or unsubscribe month to month based on the offerings and interest level? That would be the best setup, in my opinion!
I think that the post you quote from is itself answering your question with a yes.

I sure hope so! [:D] That's what it sounded like to me, but a confirmation would be nice. If anyone tries it out as an early adopter, please let us know how it works and your satisfaction level with it. I'm seriously considering this.

I can confirm it, albeit unofficially, because there is no reason to believe that this system works any differently from Logos/Verbum Now and Logos/Verbum Cloud, which both allow you to buy access either one month at a time or one year at a time.

Hi Liz,
I signed up for the monthly Mobile Ed subscription to try it out. I did notice though that in my subscription list for my account it says this:
Mobile Ed Subscription - Monthly Subscription (6 Month)
Is that meaning there is a minimum 6 month subscription period (boo hiss), or that it is $49.99 for six months subscription (yippee), or neither or those interpretations (oh well)..
Thanks!
Jim

Thanks for brining this issue to our attention. The SKU description has been updated to reflect the Mobile Ed 1 Month Subscription. We do not have a 6 month option for the subscription.
Will I have enough time to complete the course?
Yes, each course will be available for at least 3 months.
I don't quite see how this will work. Say for example Matthew subscribes from March, my understanding is that as things stand he would have access to NT211 Introducing the Gospels and Acts for March April and May. However, if Luke subscribes from May, does NT211 drop off at the end of May, or will it be available for May June and July so that Luke has access for 3 months?
The Mobile Ed Subscription is updated monthly. Please note, not all courses will be changing every month. Each Mobile Ed course will be available for a minimum of 3 months within the Mobile Ed Subscription. You must have a current Mobile Ed Subscription to access the courses.

Thanks Liz. I think the subscription model does suit these video courses well - I think I would probably only watch the mobile ed videos once anyway.
( For books I think I'd still rather buy outright to keep permanently in my library as for many I would reuse.)

Question: Courses will available for 3 months from the time you start your subscription, or the time they were first offered? For example, if I start my subscription towards the end of March, have I already missed one month out of possible three for these courses? And, how will I know how long a course remains available to me individually?
The Mobile Ed Subscription includes "New to you" => https://www.logos.com/product/56677/mobile-ed-subscription
Noticed one new course being added next month.
Keep Smiling [:)]
I haven't had the subscriber email yet, but looking at the subscription details page it looks like for $50 subscription in April there is just one new course for rental for those that already subscribe - BI181, value $45 if purchased. I was expecting more new courses to be added each month.
I realise that the first month's courses are still there, but I have several of them, and some of them I would not put as top of my interest list. So was hoping more variety each month.

Yes, I am hoping they will add more coming in April soon. Otherwise I, too, will be disappointed. I haven't received an e-mail yet either, so I will wait until I receive that before I let my hopes go up or down regarding the future of this program and my involvement with it.

It does not appear the subscription is intended for users who have already purchased a number of courses. I have all but 3 of the current courses and I have BI181 so next month would be a no-go for me.

The 3 courses I don't have are all preaching/pastoring related. I am not a pastor so these hold little interest to me. I will wait and see if any more courses get added each month.
Logos 7 Collectors Edition
For you folks who purchased this in March, I'm curious to know what the discount Logos offered to purchase the courses. Part of the pitch is that subscribers would be notified in an email two weeks before the next month with what the new courses are and how much it will cost you to buy any of the courses you subscribed to. Anyone get that email?
The email went out on Friday, March 18th. [:)] The email included the complete list of April course (the course list is also available to view on the Mobile Ed Subscription PDP):

Anyone get that email?
I don't think the email has gone out yet (at least I haven't got it and I am subscribed).
I also did not receive the e-mail and I am currently a subscriber of the Logos Mobile Ed Subscription. How do you suggest that those of us who did not receive the e-mail get access to the subscriber discounts information? I do not see that information on the product page. Will you guys be re-sending? Can someone who got it message me the contents? I would like to know what the discounts on these courses are for subscribers like myself, as that has a pretty big impact on how committed I am to this subscription long term. Thanks in advance.

Hi Liz,
I didn't get the email although I am a subscriber. Did the email include other details like discounts for purchasing courses?
There only seems to be one small addition to the courses for April - BI181. Is that how the future subscription offerings are planned - to keep almost all the courses the same each month with only one small change from month to month? It would be useful to see what other courses are planned to be added over the next few months to see whether it was worth continuing with the subscription.
Jim

We plan to add 1-3+ courses each month. The new courses will be announced 2 weeks before the 1st of the month. If any courses are leaving the plan at that time, that information (and discount for any courses leaving the subscription plan) will be shared in a email to subscribers. [:D]
I also did not receive the e-mail and I am currently a subscriber of the Logos Mobile Ed Subscription.I just resent the email to you.
Thank you for taking the time to re-send the e-mail to me, Liz. I appreciate that.
Alright folks, I think I figured out what's causing some confusion here. Liz stated that:
The discount information for courses expiring from the Mobile Ed Subscription will be included in the monthly Mobile Ed Subscription email.
Notice my added emphasis (bold). Only expiring courses will have discount information included in the monthly subscriber e-mail. Notice she also stated that:
Each Mobile Ed course will be available for a minimum of 3 months within the Mobile Ed Subscription.
Therefore, I think it would be safe to conclude that there won't be any discount information announced until at least another 2 months, because the courses will not expire for at least 3 months. Correct me if I'm wrong, Liz.
