BUG: Courses erroneously marked completed

Haven't followed this forum, so this may have been reported previously.

I am not quite half-way through LA-151, but every session is marked completed. Checked LA-161—which I had never visited—and it also is marked completed. NT-221 is also marked completed when I have only viewed the course introduction. A few other new courses are not yet marked completed.

All this makes the feature worse than useless, as there is also no way to uncheck the false check marks.

Are they hollow circles, or filled in, ticked circles?

Filled in, ticked circles. I clicked on the Appendix a tone time, but did not watch anything. In any case, this is a bug.

I have completed through the Unit 6 Quiz, and have not watched any video beyond that point.

    To elaborate a little bit...

The bug was that viewed media didn't correctly convert to reading progress data prior to 6.11. So, any videos that were watched may have resulted in marking the entire media resource as "complete".  Since course progress is derived from reading progress in both the media resource and the text resource, this can result in the entire course being shown as complete.  Unfortunately, we can't retroactively fix the bad data. The best we can do, and the fix that Eli mentioned, is expose a way to manually reset progress.

In 6.11 RC 1, there is a right click menu available in the Table of Contents for the Courses Tool that enables marking or unmarking progress. The action applies to the relevant sections in both the text resource and media resource that contribute to the visible progress displayed for that ToC entry.  Additionally, a similar menu is available from the overall course progress indicator in the toolbar that applies to the whole text and media resources in the course.  Furthermore, a menu is available in every "about resource" view that shows tracked progress (accessible by clicking on the progress indicator) and applies to that resource alone.
