Once I have completed a mobile ed course, how do I remove it from my home page sidebar?

The "Courses" setting available under the "Gear" customize icon toggles on / off display of the courses panel. Is that what you are referring to?

Other than that I don't think the courses appear in the sidebar unless you are working through them in a working plan

Not exactly.  As of now I have three mobile ed courses on my sidebar.  I have completed one of them.  However, it still appears with the other two; and, it's "wheel" has gone back clear, as if I'd just started the course.  I will try toggling that setting and see what happens.  Thanks.

Why it has reset to showing no progress I don't know the answer, but in terms of removing them from the list I don't believe this is possible, It's purpose is not as a to do list for your courses. What this list does is show the three courses you have most recently accessed. Hence as you currently have three course only you will always only see these three course. I have more than three courses so my list changes.

You can most likely hide the course. You won't lose ownership, just remove it from the library until you decide that you want to use it again.

Actually, I currently have seven mobile ed courses, only three of which show up on my sidebar.  Perhaps this would  be a good suggestion for a future update, the ability to hide/show courses at will.
