427+ MB I'll have to wait until 2:00am to download, sure wish we had automatic updates while we sleep...
427+ MB I'll have to wait
Did you miss the last resource drop? Mine says the usual beta size of 36.8 etc
Or is there a "surprise" awaiting me?

Just the Beta 10 software update if you already downloaded the resource update from last week. )
Installed and working updated automatically.
Could I get a little explanation on: Resource visual filters are grouped by type? I'm not sure what to look for.
Strange. . . 741.5 MB download coming through. Seems like a lot considering the release notes only specify a few bug fixes. Let's get ready to indexxxxxxxxx. [:D]
mine was 864.8 mb and now it is doing an additional 214.9
I don't think some went right

You may be behind on resource updates. Is the download progressing, or did it crash?
Indexing quits - I should have been up to date with the resources.
Has the failure of F5 to refresh the prayer list been fixed in B10? It isn't on the list, but just checking.
could it be related to the journal update Bradley referred to in another thread? I've got 900 megs downloading
Everytme it quits I restart L4- it starts indexing and then wants to dwnld the 214.9 again- then just quits.

Do you have Galaxie Journals. Bradley has announced a big drop of the newest files.
I can say that I did receive the last large download posted on the forums and ran the "Update now" command this morning with no new updates available. If this is an old update that I am just now receiving, then something didn't work correctly in the automatic updates previously. I open the program every day for several hours, so it has had every opportunity to do the right thing.
That said, I have a fast connection and no cap, so I'm not concerned about the download. I just thought I'd add to the chorus, in case there was a bug at play.
Most certainly. Here's the link for those interested. http://community.logos.com/forums/t/11911.aspx
Yes i read that and was glad to see it- on the one log it listed them as out of date.
I do have the journals. I missed Bradley's post, so I guess that explains it. Thanks!!!!
I opened L4 again- hit "update now" and itstarted the 214.9 again- this time though it is indexing and has not stopped. 1 Hour to go.
Though the indexer log shows a "warn" remark next to all the Bibsac journal updates
4863.Logos4Indexer.log
It will be in a later release.
Installed here with no issues.
Downloading now, along with said journals.
Sorry for a multiple post, but can anyone tell me the version of Bibliotheca Sacra Journal 1? I am trying to figure out what's wrong my my machines that they are not downloading them...
thanks!
Could I get a little explanation on: Resource visual filters are grouped by type?
I think it is the 3 little circles thingy. The lists are grouped by standard items, then notes, reading plans and finally visual filters. Each section has a divider with the section name
Below is the drop down, scrolled to the bottom to show the dividers.
Good call, Clinton. Would it be better to call this the Resource Formatting Menu, or would that be confused with something else?
I think it is the 3 little circles thingy
Thanks
827 MB. What did I miss?
The arrangement under Visual Filters is great. Is something like that coming for the File menu? Please.

The indexer is finally indexing 509 updates downloaded earlier from an earlier download, but there is a serious BITS access issue that is FAILING the 214 MB download each time.
Logos need to advise you what to do for this!

Hi Whyndell,
Have you run "update resources" yet? I ended up having to pull the 90 BSAC resources from our server (because I haven't found out yet whether upper- or lower-case IDs are "correct"). Probably due to unfortunate timing, your system pulled down a list of resources to download (which included these 90) but by the time it came to download, they were gone from the server, so the download is failing.
Running update resources should clear out the system's memory of what it needs to download, and stop the failure.
Bible "Search while typing" is extremely slow. I am typing about 30 words per minute and it takes several seconds before the information appears on the screen. Using the backspace key is no better. A regular Bible search is ok and yields the result very quickly.
The search function is getting faster. I searched the word "the" and it pulled 30 millions hits in under 20 seconds in a library of 2369 resources. Logos was given a "high" priority in Task Manager. When I restarted the program, and Logos took the "normal" priority that windows assigns it, it took just under 22 seconds. Previously it took 29 seconds, in a library of 2368 resources.
Is something missing from the Bug Fixes eg. Scott stated there would be fixes for sync issues on Collections?
This is very welcome! I'll be testing this feature on my new computer.
Now it just needs the ability to select a resource folder to scan (not a new suggestion) - - please!
Also welcome. I'll try to test this as well ....

Yes it updated the resources but now it keeps wanting to dwnld 214.9 mb- its Thurs. a.m. and I updated my #2 machine last night, did "update now & resources" this a.m. it is complete. I did notice it did not do the dwnld for 214.9 though.
My #1 machine (logs have been posted) is still wanting to dwnld the 214.9 and index, but the errors continue. Heres the log and it look like it is still the journals causing issues.

Any help or suggestions?
Whyndell,
Delete C:\Users\Whyndell\AppData\Local\Logos4\Data\3bwswvri.h31\UpdateManager\Updates.db and
C:\Users\Whyndell\AppData\Local\Logos4\Data\3bwswvri.h31\DownloadManager\DownloadManager.db plus all other files/folders therein!
Such a little thing but so valuable...it really made things easy on the eyes!! Thanks guys!
Another Beta, great. I almost was starving for some change. [:)]
Installed without any problems.
Installed just fine. Loving the file types showing in the VF menu.

Bradley I want to make sure I understand, is this the current situation? So the new BSAC 1-90 are not currently on the server, and you'll let us know when they are?
Thanks!
Thanks Dave- I will remember this for the future, the repetitive dwnld of 214.9 has ceased. I checked my journals and now I am missing vols. 1-90 of BibSac.
They are still in L3- should I scan the resource folder for them or will this cause the dwnld issue again?
I'd wait until Logos have sorted the issue on their server.
[Y]
I agree - this is my most-missed feature from V3 and it is unusable in V4. I don't even try.
Patiently waiting...
Jerry

That is correct.
It should not cause any downloading problems to scan the LDLS3 resource folder, because those BSAC files are not present on the download server.
the 3 little circles thingy
[Y] Love this - thank you.
[I] One more step in improvement: Could we have twisty arrows for each group to collapse and expand each section, like the Cited By has?
[*] Both the grouping and twisty arrows would be wonderfully helpful for the Files list also.
Fast, easy, effortless update on desktop/laptop.
Regarding the Copy Bible Verse: Please help me understand how the new formatting features (as it relates to MS Word) works? Maybe an example would more easily help me to understand.
Updated.
Regarding the Copy Bible Verse:
Understand now...just needed to sink in a bit...I'm slow. [:P]
Flawless download and install to this point. Thank you!

I guess I am slower.
I don't understand it at all.
Jerry,
Think about the styles you have in MS Word: Title, H1, H2, etc. Each of those style titles can be incorporated into your Logos CBV customized styles. So, you can change the "HeaderStyle" by using one of the MS Word styles "H1" or (in MS Word 2007) "Intense Emphasis" (which turns the text into a light blue italics font). So, where you see "My Style Name" after the %HeaderStyle =" type in "Intense Emphasis". Here is what it would look like
This type of style customization means that you can REALLY customize how you want to import your passage of scriptures into your MS Word documents. It really is a cool feature, especially when you have multiple purposes that you are using MS Word with Logos.
Give the above example a go (assuming you're using MS Word 2007, otherwise choose a style you have your version of MS Word) and see what happens. Once you see the results you can apply other styles using the syntax examples provided by Melissa.
Hope that helps,Mitch
I feel a bit more dense than usual. I understand what copy versese is suppose to do and really like it. However, I can't get it to work.
%NoRedLetter%NoFootnotes%NoCitation%HeaderStyle = Intense Emphasis%ForEachVerseStyle = Intense Emphasis
=Header
<p>([Version]) [FullPassageRef]
=ForEachVerse [VerseNum] [VerseText]
=Footer</p>
This produces nothing different than normal. I'm using 2007 Word. I'm sure I'm doing something not quite right. Does anyone see what I'm doing wrong?
