427+ MB I'll have to wait until 2:00am to download, sure wish we had automatic updates while we sleep...

427+ MB I'll have to wait

Did you miss the last resource drop? Mine says the usual beta size of  36.8 etc

Or is there a "surprise" awaiting me?

Just the Beta 10 software update if you already downloaded the resource update from last week. :o)

    Installed and working updated automatically.

Could I get a little explanation on: Resource visual filters are grouped by type? I'm not sure what to look for.

I think it is the 3 little circles thingy. The lists are grouped by standard items, then notes, reading plans and finally visual filters. Each section has a divider with the section name

Below is the drop down, scrolled to the bottom to show the dividers.

Strange. . . 741.5 MB download coming through.  Seems like a lot considering the release notes only specify a few bug fixes.  Let's get ready to indexxxxxxxxx.  [:D]

mine was 864.8 mb and now it is doing an additional 214.9

I don't think some went right

Do you have Galaxie Journals. Bradley has announced a big drop of the newest files.

I do have the journals.  I missed Bradley's post, so I guess that explains it.  Thanks!!!!

I opened L4 again- hit "update now" and itstarted the 214.9 again- this time though it is indexing and has not stopped. 1 Hour to go.

Though the indexer log shows a "warn" remark next to all the Bibsac journal updates

The indexer is finally indexing 509 updates downloaded earlier from an earlier download, but there is a serious BITS access issue that is FAILING the 214 MB download each time.

Logos need to advise you what to do for this!

    Hi Whyndell,

Have you run "update resources" yet? I ended up having to pull the 90 BSAC resources from our server (because I haven't found out yet whether upper- or lower-case IDs are "correct"). Probably due to unfortunate timing, your system pulled down a list of resources to download (which included these 90) but by the time it came to download, they were gone from the server, so the download is failing.

Running update resources should clear out the system's memory of what it needs to download, and stop the failure.

Yes it updated the resources but now it keeps wanting to dwnld 214.9 mb- its Thurs. a.m. and I updated my #2 machine last night, did "update now & resources" this a.m. it is complete. I did notice it did not do the dwnld for 214.9 though.

My #1 machine (logs have been posted) is still wanting to dwnld the 214.9 and index, but the errors continue. Heres the log and it look like it is still the journals causing issues.

    Any help or suggestions?

    Whyndell,

Thanks Dave- I will remember this for the future, the repetitive dwnld of 214.9 has ceased. I checked my journals and now I am missing vols. 1-90 of BibSac.

They are still in L3- should I scan the resource folder for them or will this cause the dwnld issue again?

I'd wait until Logos have sorted the issue on their server.

Downloading now, along with said journals.

Hmm Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.

Sorry for a multiple post, but can anyone tell me the version of Bibliotheca Sacra Journal 1? I am trying to figure out what's wrong my my machines that they are not downloading them...

    thanks!

Another Beta, great. I almost was starving for some change. [:)]

    Installed without any problems.

Is something missing from the Bug Fixes eg. Scott stated there would be fixes for sync issues on Collections?

    Updated.

    • On a new installation, automatic downloading of updates can be disabled when selecting a “Custom” install.

This is very welcome! I'll be testing this feature on my new computer.

Now it just needs the ability to select a resource folder to scan (not a new suggestion) - - please!

    • When
the application crashes, it will write a short crash report to My
Documents\Logos Log Files\*Crash.txt; this will occur whether or not
      logging is enabled.

Also welcome. I'll try to test this as well ....
