Need a little help with Logos 5 to Verbum
I own and use logos 5 and just got back to getting it installed on my main pc. I have a question is there just a software update to Verbum, interface or do i need to purchase a package?

Note that the Logos line of software (i.e. Logos 5, 6, 7) and the Verbum line (5, 6, 7) are nearly identical software, but use a different installer. So if you install Verbum, you will have a completely independent installation (both of them including all your resources you have licensed to you). So there is no software update from Logos to Verbum in the real sense. On the other hand, if you are a Verbum owner, you can run the Logos installation in "Verbum mode" (running the command Set Verbum to Yes - toggle with Set Verbum to No ).
To be a Verbum owner and be able to either install it on its own (which will redownload and index all your existing Logos resources) or to run Logos in Verbum mode you will need to technicaly "buy" a bundle, but as far as I know, it suffices to "buy" the Verbum Basic bundle for free - this also is the page to obtain the Verbum installer, if you want to use it.
And, in both cases you would likely want to "buy" Logos Basic for free to update your Logos installation from 5 to 7
Have joy in the Lord!

Logos wiki => Logos 7 Commands now includes:
Logos 7 Commands">
- Set Verbum to {Yes|No} – for Verbum configuration in Logos that may be removed in future. Requires a restart. Faithlife recommends Verbum application instead of using this command

"Set Verbum to Yes" in Logos still gets you the same functionality as the Verbum application, but it's really a legacy thing at this point.
We direct all new Verbum customers to install the Verbum application, since this is the most straightforward way for us to deliver the Verbum configuration and features. The Verbum mode in Logos relies on a hidden UI feature or a specific sequence of purchase and installation to be turned on or off--so, for a product aimed at the Catholic market, it was really only a temporary solution.
By the same token, we encourage anyone who is exclusively using the Verbum setup in Logos to move to the Verbum application, and I don't expect that the Verbum mode will be around forever. However, it's still the case for now that you're not missing anything by using the Verbum mode and we don't yet have any specific plans to discontinue it. We will let you know if that changes.

Another thing to note is that it would not be surprising if, at some point in the future, this command gets removed from the application (I have no details on when or if this might occur). It's existence causes a few problems that we'd like to eliminate at some point.
