BlackBerry and Android are both possibilities, though it's looking like Android is getting more traction in the market right now, and I think it'll get attention from us first, though I can't make any assurances (or offer any dates) yet.
Granted, droid is growing in popularity, but there are many more Blackberry users out there. They are just quieter.... Usually... [:)]

In the process of deciding between an Incredible and a Droid X, so count me as one more person waiting on an Android app. And when you do it, make sure it has prayer requests. [Y]

I have a DroidX and love everything about it save two things: [1] car charger or any replacement does not work and [2] no Logos app. So I am enthused about this business of signing in to access my reading lists — since being able to read from my library on the Droid is all I really want to do anyway. All I had seen to do before was read and search the Bible.
However, it will not log in. It just sits there at the "Sign In" screen.

Count me in for Logos on BlackBerry!

Looking at the interesting market share article: http://blogs.computerworld.com/16883/android_apple_market_share It looks like Android will probably surpass iPhone in ~6 months. What's most interesting is the slope of the change in the market share.

I presently have the logos app on my iPod Touch and use it often "when I have a wifi connection". This greatly limits me as to where I can use my Library on logos. so I use other Bible apps on my Droid 2 android phone. I know this system would carrie this program very well. I am betting better than the iPod Touch. I would really appreciate being able to access my library and study with my logos system on the go with this new android phone. I would be on it ever spare Minuit I could. Also I would hate to think that someone would have to go to att and iPhone just to get this awesome bible study app on their phone.
Hoping, Praying for an android Logos app.... PLEEAASSEE!
Thanks and God Bless,
Dennis

Just got my HTC EVO which now ships with Froyo (Android 2.2). The larger screen and sharp resolution makes it ideal for using Logos. Not to take a thing away from iPhone or Blackberry (or WinMo, for that matter), but Android 2.2 is really a wonderful phone OS. I am reading books from Kindle on my EVO and I look forward to a solid app for Logos.
It really is amazing how far we have come with mobile computing devices! Phones, pads, netbooks, etc, etc. And while I will love having an Android specific application (for all the reasons that the rest of the community have already mentions: reading books, prayer lists, book lists, devotions, study, etc), I think it will be someime before I give up the large monitors of a desktop and the potential to have dual monitors, etc. Logos is phenomenal in that format!

Blackberry phones have such small screens to be useful for "real" bible study. I currently own a Blackberry 8900 - its hard for me to even use Google. I personally would not want Logos on my phone...it wouldn't get used.

There are units that will plug into the DC power port [cig lighter] and give you AC power in your car - then plug your home recharger into it
[and study your bible when the DroidX version is ready while some one else drives]

When I buy an ebook on Amazon I can read it on any platform. When I buy a book from you, I can only read it on my desktop (not good for reading). I will not add any more books to my Logos until I have an Android app.
Also, Amazon makes it's reader programs available free (you are already paying for the books).
My suggestion is that you make a basic reader app for all platforms (including Kindle 3 using their new API), and make it available free (this will encourage people to add books to their Logos library instead of buying them on Amazon) . Then you can develop fancy search and reference programs with fancy features for the most popular platforms and charge something for those.

Being able to read logos books on my android and my kindle would definitely make me buy more books from logos. You are right about the Amazon books. I can read them on either laptop, the kindle, or the android phone. Great idea. Just a simple reader that we can download books to.
Thanks

I strongly recommend Logos to consider extending the App to Android plaftorm. I'm currently using it in iPad and it's awesome. Pls. help extending this to my Samsung Galaxy S with Android OS 2.2 to be upgraded.

I can't agree more that we need Android app that works as good as the ipod touch app. I have the droid x and would love the ability to read books from it. Please help us any way you can to make our lives as efficient as possible.

I have been waiting patiently for an Android Logos and suffering through other software which works but doesn't give me access to the resources I want. The browser portal is OK, but does not offer the flexibility you need for effectively using the Logos software. My Droid X is waiting and extremely lonely for that Logos Android App!

I agree 1000% -- forget the Black Berry and the Windows phone, the actual leaders are iphone and now the superior phone called DRRROIDDDDDD....LOL...sorry BB and Windows, but it's true. There's no point to have apps for every single phone but the only top 2 best out there in the market...maybe, maybe a top 3, but that can be up for grabs for any other phone, not necessarily the BB or Windows. Anyway, may the best 3rd best win.[:P]

Has anyone heard a timetable for Android app?

Hey Thomas, welcome to the forums.
No, Logos has been tight lipped about any timetable. last month the VP of Marketing tweeted "Logos for Android this week! Can't wait to ship this thing!" that's the last I've heard of it
Prov. 15:23

I just got the Motorola Xoom and love it!! I am using library.logos.com and have access to about 70% of my full library. And of course I have to be online to read it. I can't wait for the Logos Android App to be released. I check every day, to no avail. AND I hope they can do something to ensure I have 100% of my books available, rather than only 70%. I have purchased the book, I should be able to download it - it shouldn't matter if its to a PC or a tablet.

Wyn: Love to know what you think of the Xoom. I am considering the iPad 2 or the Xoom this spring/summer. I really want to be able to see how useful it will be for Logos Bible study.
Thanks!
