PB: Passion Harmony Gospels
Follow-up to thread => Passion Week? is conversion of a spreadsheet to Personal Book (PB):
Passion Harmony Gospel agrees with James Montgomery Boice; the "three days and three nights" in Matthew 12:40 could literally be two complete days for two Sabbaths (48 Holy hours) plus smallish part of Thursday afternoon (1st day) and unknown night time (3rd night) before stone rolled away on Sunday to reveal body is no longer in the tomb. Triumphant entry on Sun 10 Nissan is the same day lamb is chosen. Passover meal happens after sunset on 14 Nissan with Yeshua being crucified later the same day; Exodus 12:6 has the family's chosen lamb being slain shortly after sunset on 14 Nissan. The Jewish rulers on Friday 15 Nissan were looking forward to a joyful afternoon feast meal so they had Pilate come out to them so they would not be ceremonially defiled. John uses "Passover" eight times in the Gospel to refer to the Passover meal plus subsequent feast of Unleavened Bread.
Observation: lemma σάββατον for Sabbath is typically translated into English Sabbath (singular) without respect to singular or plural usage in Greek.
Screen shot shows Personal Book with Power Lookup to show verses. Also can hover mouse over PB reference for verse pop-up. Column headers appear once at PB beginning. The left most column has numbered Day with block for period between sunset and sunrise (Jewish day is evening and morning so begins at sunset). During the Day, left most column has number with Day of the week.
