It is a pity that the Sermon Editor does not support Apple Pencil on iPad. With Pages it is much better to take quick notes or mark texts before starting a service.

  • I agree with the above statement. I would love the ability to be able to write on sermons in the editor or in preach mode on my iPad. Please make this happen asap!!

This would be a great addition. I mark up my notes with last minute details or thoughts. Using Apple Pencil, or a drawing function to mark up a sermon, would help a lot.

It would be great if I could use my apple pencil in Sermon Builder's preach mode. I like to annotate while I'm reviewing my message.

I think this should be added. It's helpful to have when reviewing a message you're about to preach.
  • I agree, this would be nice to have.

Every week, I export my sermon as a pdf, dump it on Google Drive, download it on my iPad, and then scribble notes all over it before preaching. This is the closest I can get to how I used to do it - printing sermons and then highlighting/marking up with a pen/pencils. Please consider adding functionality to the Preaching Mode so that I can just add notes/highlighting natively in the app.
  • I second this motion.

The iPad is an awesome device for taking digital hand-written notes. The history of jotting notes alongside biblical texts is as old as the scrolls, there’s no need to lose that spontaneity and unique, personal experience given the handwriting capability of the iPad.

    Yes please
  • Yes, please add this feature. I, too, jot notes on my sermon as I go over it the night before. I also like highlighting. I would rather use preach mode than export it to Apple Books.

Agreed. I love to annotate in handwriting, whether my sermons or my books!
  • How about adding sermon editor to android??

@Dean Wood  can you share examples of Apple Pencil functionality that is missing on the Logos app, specifically within Sermon Builder? I tried it this morning and it does a semi-decent job of capturing quick notes that I want to jot down.. of course I wouldn't use the pencil for preparing my polished manuscript 😅
  • Please please please - pen support needs to be beefed up on ALL platforms! Android / Samsung Galaxy tablets and Windows tablets. These platforms had pen support well before the iPad did!
  • I would to be able to use my Apple Pencil and make handwritten notes BOTH on my sermon notes AND in notes in general.  I hate the apple scribble option and would to make handwritten notes using the pencil.  After all, isn’t that what a pencil is for?

Yes, now that there is a subscription model and the promise for quicker changes, please look at notability and OneNote as inspiration. Free Marking up and highlighting sermon scripts would be a massive improvement. I personally don’t enjoy the highlighting that is bound to the words and lines as it currently is.

Yes! We need a way to be able to make last minute "notes" or even "highlights" on the actual manuscript. Please make this happen. I think I speak for all preachers that use notes - we highlight our sermon notes. This is a MUST need if we're going to use the Logos app for preaching. If not, I'm going to have to go back to using Microsoft Word/Exporting notes to pdf/using GoodReader app on iPad for preaching.
  • I would love to be able to use my pencil to highlight text in my manuscript. I don't care if that is in my edit mode or preaching mode.
