With the recent events in Christendom, the Logos celebration of Asian-American theology, the growing number of global commentaries, etc., Logos users, regardless of their tradition are being exposed to the historical, global diversity of Christendom including diversity of canon. Logos was built on the Western Protestant canon and expanded a bit beyond the ecumenical canon of the RSV/NRSV. However, this ignores the additional texts of the Oriental Orthodox Churches and of churches such as the Latter-Day Saints. I would like to see a hint of the broader sacred literature/scripture implemented in Logos to assist those working with these texts e.g. The Pearl of Great Price or Jubilees.
- We should be able to enter standard references to these works just as we can for 1Enoch (which is currently available because of its LXX link). The edits and automatic links should simply be the default as for the standard canonical books. Think of this as a simple expansion of the books available as documented in Help. See Verbum Help - Bible Books Abbreviations.
- We should be able to use these references in dynamic text within personal books as well as milestone.
I am not asking that other functionality such as Guides, Factbook, Bible Book Explorer, etc. be modified at all - simply that those who have reason to use the broader canons be able to reference them without trying to remember which works must the referenced
