As far as I know it has never been on sale. Its main competitor, Anchor Bible Dictionary is cheaper and even included in libraries. Meanwhile NIDB remains very expensive and unaffordable. I wonder how well it actually sells. Time to approach Abingdon to negotiate a deal on this title?

Agree. Also, it's not in any packages, and no sample pages (dictionary example entries) either. Sort of a yawner.

I started out my 'critical journey' with Jerome's and Interpreters. It's 25 years later, and maybe $40k spent, and neither of the 'new's' occupy my library … waiting for New Jerome's return, and a sale on New Interpreters.
