Title: Request for a More Robust Notes Tool in Logos
I’m very grateful for Logos Bible Software and use it daily for study and ministry. However, I’d like to advocate for a significant upgrade to the Notes tool so it can function as a true all-in-one research and knowledge hub.
Right now, the Notes feature feels limited compared to modern note platforms like Evernote, Notion, or Apple Notes. Because of this, many of us still rely on external apps for serious research workflows involving PDFs, documents, and structured note systems. It would be tremendously valuable if Logos could become a genuine “one-stop shop” for study and note management.
Here are several improvements that would make a major difference:
1. Richer Formatting Options
- Native table creation and editing
- Better heading hierarchy and styles
- More flexible text formatting
- Improved bullet and numbered list controls
2. Seamless Paste and Import Behavior
- Preserve formatting when pasting from external apps
- Automatic hyperlinking when pasting quotes from Logos resources
- Cleaner handling of copied citations
- Better support for importing structured content
3. Expanded File Support Within Notes
- Ability to embed or manage PDFs, DOCX, PPTX, etc.
- Inline preview of attached documents
- Stronger media handling for research workflows
4. Knowledge Management Features
- Backlinks between notes
- Tagging improvements
- Better search within notes
- Optional database/table-style note views
Many pastors, students, and researchers want Logos to be the central hub for all study materials. At present, the Notes tool is helpful but not yet powerful enough to replace dedicated note applications. A major upgrade in this area would significantly enhance Logos’ value and keep users more fully inside the ecosystem.
Thank you for continuing to improve an already excellent platform. I hope the team will consider investing in a next-generation Notes experience.
