Please return the Help card ... it is very useful in teaching application where one needs a sentence or two of explanation not a 5 minute video or 2 minute reading break.

Hello. I find the new Inline search more complicated than before. For instance I don't see the usual up and down arrows to look at the results

On a monograph such as Moore, Beth. Portraits of Devotion. Nashville, TN: B&H Books, 2014. not only is there no factbook tag option, but when one tries to add Factbook tags the option and the value appear to work but they don't create the Factbook tag. This is a big issue for me.

It wasn't looking quite right on my mac just now. After a couple of clicks it went back to normal.

Please return the Help card
The Help Card is still present in the new toolbar. I'm seeing this working as expected on both Mac and Windows. Are you not seeing the Help Card at all when set to Yes in Program Settings?

No. The new toolbar will be the only option for subscribers. Likewise, the old toolbar will be the only option for non-subscribers.

This bug directly affects the usability of the Resource panel toolbar -->Home --> History menu and Resource panel toolbar --> right click History menu. No difference in values is visible.

UPDATE: We've investigated the effort to add the Tab key --> Reference box functionality back into the toolbar and have decided this won't be possible. We will still reinstate the Cmd-G/Ctrl-G functionality, so we ask that those of you who have been used to using the Tab key shortcut to begin using the Cmd-G/Ctrl-G shortcut instead.We know this may be a difficult change for many of you and we apologize that we can't get this added back in!

This answer still leads to the question of why a choice of toolbars cannot be present. If both are being maintained, how much more work/cost is there to allow a choice in settings?

Not being snarky, but really, us non-subscribers seem to be rewarded already. I admit I have my app-update turned off until maybe next year, but Logos is looking good. Force the changes only on the subscribers, would be my vote.

I won’t lie. In-line search for textual studies is so important to me, that I will be happy to forego the new toolbar. I am not sure why this would been seen as an improvement.

Okay, I see it when I reset the Help cards but I don't find the option to force it individually as I do in teaching.

I'm a Logos enthusiast and welcome any improvements or new features. I'm traveling and I don't have a computer, so I couldn't test the new toolbar, but I could see the change from the images.
Although I'm an enthusiast, unfortunately if this new toolbar doesn't have the option to hide the labels/titles it will be horrible for me. Having the labels on the translator, insight and summarization tabs is a lot for a space that I had left a suggestion in the feedback for it to be better used.
I believe that having more things at hand and with just a few clicks is very good. But I think it would be even better if it came with a less cluttered look. I want to focus on reading content (bibles and books), not menus. I know there are people who may prefer labels, I prefer clean icons.
Windows has the option to hide application labels from the taskbar, and having this option in the new Logos toolbar would be perfect and allow everyone to customize it to their preference and way of using it.

I really can't imagine a plausible reason for losing the "inline" search feature. I've been using a function like this long before I started using Logos.
I used it in the "Online Bible" software, I used it in Libronix, and when I discovered the function in Logos, I loved it.
It's the first thing I use when doing exegesis for a sermon. When Logos implemented the use of customizable double and triple clicks, I set the "inline" search to the double-click.This way, I can quickly see where else a keyword from the original text occurs, how it is used (its meanings), and how many times it appears in the Bible.
Why discontinue such a practical and useful function??? I can't believe I heard this was done just based on telemetry of how little it was used. Or would it be better (in my opinion) to say it was discontinued because it was poorly advertised? I've never seen a single Logos video showing the importance and uses of the "inline" function. I teach several friends how to use it. This week I convinced a friend to buy Logos and taught him how to use it, including the "inline" feature.
And please, Logos is made and driven not by people who buy an expensive software and use a handful of functions, at most. Logos is mainly driven by advanced users who, even in smaller numbers, are the ones who promote and teach others to use the program. So, I can't conceive that professionals (at Logos) would say they removed a great feature just because common users don't use it. If Logos continues in this direction, we should expect a progressively worse and poorer program, leveled down to mediocrity. If I see that this is the direction Logos is heading, I'll stop investing in it right away.

I note that "Close other tabs" has been added to the tab menu. Nice touch.
I note that "Discuss this feature" and "Show Help card" have been removed from the panel menu but not reimplemented in the dynamic toolbar as far as I can see. "Discuss this feature" I do not use and can't speak for. However, for one use case, I use "Show Help card" and wish to make a case for its return. In a teaching situation, being able to bring up the Help card provides a quick explanation of new to the students features or new to a particular student feature. Help provides more information than I wish to interrupt a lecture for. But the student-teacher relationship is likely a major driver of your market. Do you really want to remove a teacher function from the software?

Same. I use double click as well.
I don't want to beat a dead horse, but in-line search is a significant component in a number of my layouts. Especially when I am mobile on the laptop when screen space is a premium, to shift usage to the full panel search would tie up space and add friction to certain workflows. Please don't reduce the functionality of this feature. I am not convinced that this is a step forward with making the U.I. more user friendly.

I love the new toolbar!
I noticed that the web app version has a highlighting palette built into it:
But this is missing in the desktop version:
Is there any particular reason for this? Might there be plans to bring that palette to the desktop app? I would find that very useful!

I don't know about plans for the toolbar but are you familiar with the Selection Menu?
If you enable that in Program Settings, then when you select a word you get a popup menu with a similar palette

Thanks for the feedback on inline search. Is the primary issue the lack of the fields picker? Typically, how would you use this picker for inline search?
For me, it would include the search fields but also the lack of ability to select different types of Inline Search (particularly Book) and not being able to navigate through search results from within the search "view"

And the issue of not being able to specify a Book Search - when in a Bible - means that any searches are constrained to a single verse and not the entire chapter.

When using the parallel resources menu, when there are two pages, changing the page closes the menu and requires an re-open to show the requested page.
A few of us have tried testing this and aren't seeing any odd behavior. Can you give us some more details of what you're seeing here? When you say "parallel resources menu" are you referring to the Parallel text button or the Change Book button?
