New Feature: Bookmarks

Please add some sort of bookmark feature that syncs across devices. When reading something other than a Bible it can often be hard to find/keep your place if you change devices. — I prefer to read these books on my iPad, but will often pick them up on my phone when I find myself with some unexpected free time.

It would be so nice to see a bookmark option for Verbum! I don't understand why Logos would make an app for books that doesn't have bookmarks! The syncing option would be nice too. I think the first step is actually having bookmarks.0

Wow yes I just noticed this the other day. What book reading app doesn't have the ability to bookmark? Please and thank you.0

Just started using the iOS app more and I’m super surprised this feature isn’t available. When using the Bible for personal reading and then also during family worship, it’s difficult to keep track of where I am, and the reading plan feature doesn’t quite fit my need. A bookmark to easily return to a spot (and that can be easily updated when needed) would be superb.0

Yes. I'm shocked the readability of books is so weak within the logos app.0

Yes! I was shocked that it’s missing such a simple feature.0

It’s also already on the desktop.0

Would really like it in the app.
I know i know, i should just read a book all the way through and finish it, before starting another book, but well that's just not the way i read books.
However, after some further playing with the app, there are some existing features which get me part of the way there -- History, and 'Read Later'. The 'Read Later' feature in particular looks like it may do most of what i'm looking for, though it is buried a bit and requires some extra clicks to get to it.0 -

Yeah, and/or have book reading placement/progress able to sync automatically/manually & then, when you open that same resource in Logos on another platform, a popup asks you if "you want to move to where you left off or stay here?" or something like that. Not sure if Logos already does something like this. (idea from another Bible app)
And/or maybe improve Favorites to have bookmarking functionality & be able to store book/bible reading progress from highlighting text or from current page area navigation as well as sync it.
I feel like we have many different ways to store things & maybe some of those ways could be merged/combined while others not so much (i.e. Favorites with Bookmarking & maybe Clippings, too, but not necessarily Passage List)0 -
The Favorites feature could be replaced by easier bookmarking. I definitely like seeing the Favorites icon right next to the table of contents in a specific book window. I don't need the ability to organize them into folders however or see the Application folder and Quick links all the time. Folders are a good feature for a Logos-wide Favorites organizer but in the window of a book just a simple list of bookmarks without drag and drop ability would do.0

Agree bookmarking would be incredibly beneficial.0

Really needed!0

A bookmark would be better than trying to find my last highlight.0

It would be great if it were a button in the popup menu same as "copy; take a note: etc". Just highlight, select bookmark, and have it added to a "favorites/bookmarks" folder. Or even another item in the same menu as "favorites" and "collections".0

Hey, Logos, are you listening?0

Bookmarking is a much-needed feature. I use Logos on my iPad Mini. When I'm reading at home, I need to mark where I left off so when I'm at church, I can go to the Scripture the preacher is speaking on. Then when I'm back home, I can easily return to my daily reading where I left off.0

When it comes to electronic books Logos is the only application of which I am aware in which the user cannot create simple bookmarks to facilitate quick access to specific locations in the text of interest to the user.
I know you have a Logos workaround of which pride of ownership may have prevented you from appreciating bookmarks in products like Kindle e-books. But the latter is practical while your approach is not. If that statement doesn’t offend you (you did ask for suggestions) then give it some objective thought. I have been reading and publishing e-books since 2010. But I never use Logos bookmarks. They are that non-functional for me. —I am a retired software developer, tech writer, computer science professor, pastor, and former missionary.0 -
This is proof that Logos doesn’t read these threads. Hey, Logos prove me wrong.0
