As a Wordsearch user, I am totally dependent on Zipscript all day long.
Logos makes me open program ..findscripture.passage or several scriptures at a time copy paste...Zipscript is automatic even with short cut keys(alt-z)

  • I second this, while Logos has integration with Word, I often use other applications, and Zipscript is very convenient and requires no setup. I do wish it had more text formatting options... but it is invaluable in my day to day use.
  • Definitely. I totally agree. ZipScript is far superior to the clunky "Copy Bible Verse" in Logos. Most of the time I need to copy and paste a verse I don't need to and don't want to have to open Logos.

I pray Logos will change ZipScript to work with Logos Bibles. I use it every day!!!

xn = Christan  man=man -- Acts 11:26 "....and the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch".

Just let ZipScript link to my favorite Bible in Logos instead of linking to WordSearch!

xn = Christan  man=man -- Acts 11:26 "....and the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch".

@Hardie Logan  Do you know how to do this? Is there a resource I can find to help do this?

I agree. Zipscript would be an upgrade to my Logos system.
  • No brainer as this is a great tool and asset for the slaves, servants and ministers of God

@Scott Brady  Currently, ZipScript works through our designated Bible in WordSearch... just need to change it to reference the preferred Bible in Logos...  so that it can print verse from Logos Bible instead of WS Bible.... Logos now owns ZipScript...

xn = Christan  man=man -- Acts 11:26 "....and the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch".

@xnman  Can you tell me how to do this or a resource where I can find it?
  • I think Logos needs to add Zipscript to the Logos application.  It should be used as the startup and in the system tray in the computer. This program in Wordsearch could paste list of scriptures as well as the actual scriptures themselves.

Yes, having been a user of Wordsearch for over a decade, I greatly miss zipscript. The other resource I miss big time is the Instant Verse resource. Instant Verse helped me greatly in my sermon preparation since I was able to copy the background information from my favorite resources for a given passage.
  • @Steven Harness  Agree, however, the passage guide does provide a workable substitute.
  • Surly a company with the resources you have it would not be a big deal to add Zipscript to the tools, it amazes me that you are resisting the need for this great tool.  what can be you motivation, it is pride that WordSearch had something much better and you don't want to acknowledge it?  It is too great a tool for you to ignore it.
  • I agree, Logos needs to include Zipscript which was an invaluable part of Word.
The nearest thing I have found in Logos to Zipscript is to press     Control/Alt/B.  Yet the result is slow and time consuming and requires a copy/paste of the scripture.
  • I COMPLETELY AGREE!!! We need Zipscript! I didn't ask to be locked out of Wordsearch. I was completely content with it. Now we have no Zipscript, which i used SEVERAL TIMES PER DAY. Annoyed, not impressed.
  • @Steven Harness  YES!!! When Wordsearch discontinued Instant verse - also annoyingly - it felt the same as this. Why do these companies take away these incredibly valuable resources???? With no say in being able to keep them around for our own use???

This would be so helpful. Please
  • Please add Zipscript to logos
  • Not including Zipscript is a great way to upset your customer base. I just got a new computer and I cannot download Zipscript. That means I will be looking for a different Bible program. The solution is simple: include Zipscript. THE RESULTS: Thousands of happy customers.

ZipScript was one of my favorite WS features too.

I'd love to see an update to Copy Bible Verses that would allow it to run independently in the background, especially on the Mac since ZipScript never worked on the Mac.

Then if there was another update that added a ZipScript style interface as an option, that would be super useful.

I was also an InstaVerse fan back in the day before WS phased it out. On websites that use RefTagger, it's less needed now, but some websites haven't added support for RefTagger, plus InstaVerse also worked with a few word processors. It would be fun if I could rest my cursor over Bible verses in a word processor or non-RefTagger websites and still get a Bible popup like I did with InstaVerse.
