Option for icon only shortcut folders

I like the idea of folders in L9, but it doesn't save real-estate as it required folders to display names. Can we have an option to display icons instead to save space and display the folder name on hover?

@james-38, it's a good idea. FWIW, I use acronyms or abbreviations to accomplish the same purpose (e.g., a folder named FB with some Factbook links).0

@phil-gons The fact that a work around (using abbreviations) is necessary on day 1 of the release of brand new software (or feature) shows that it poor UI/UX! I'm surprised this wasn't picked up by the beta testers and it was signed off by your UI/UX manager!
Anyway, here's hoping this will be quickly rectified with no work-arounds needed.

No problem with the icons, but please keep also the text option, so I can name the folders with their initial letter. In my case, I have: A (short for Aramaic), B (Bibles), C (Commentaries), D (Dictionaries and Lexica), E (Encyclopedias), F (Fathers), G (Greek), H (Hebrew) and so on... :)0

@lucianbenigno-44 Agreed, but if the icons were good they would include those (just see the icons used for normal shortcuts - they have numbers and letters) - so what about Folder Icons with letters and numbers on, as well as multi-coloured.0

@james-38 You don't actually know that the beta testers didn't pick up on this. All you know is that Faithlife hasn't released a version that lets you use icons rather text.0

You can actually use unicode emojis as folder names. I've done this for a good while and it works just fine.0
